Tyler's Testimony?

The News has largely been silent on the broader associations and names given in the Tyler Hamilton testimony in the recent Puerto hearings which Hamilton gave via teleconference from the Spanish Embassy in Washington.

However;

This is the latest story, but you will find the much still listed in the most popular section.

I understand completely why Tyler would not want to travel to Spain to testify. He accuses a lot of people and broadens the scope of dope and players in the sport. This seems like headline stuff, but has been largely ignored in certain cycling press. It seems like anything he had to say about USPS and Lance Armstrong was hot stuff.

Is it wrong to say that this time around the hot pursuit has cooled in certain circles as paths lead elsewhere?

Any thoughts on his testimony?

There is already an Eufemiano Fuentes thread going and if the Mods want to fold this into it in that would be OK.

Taking the trains off the tracks already?

Any serious takers? Or should I retitle the thread Photo Slam?

I have an actual question.

I read in the VN article and it said that TH implicated the Phonak team. I saw he named one team manager Pino and some other riders - Did he end up pointing the finger Oscar Pereiro?

Would be interesting if he did as Floyd called out Pereiro earlier. And Pereiro has denied ever doping.

I will have to see if there is a full transcript link, but feel free look for it as well.

Pereiro on doping accusations: "In 2006?"

Pereiro's denial was not very convincing.

I would assume if he mention Pereiro it would have been in this story. That would have been a big gaffe in reporting.

The black urine is revealing at the risks willingly took. I remember the speculation was that it was the death of his dog Tugboat that casued the epic fail.

And the higher pricing for better assurance "Siberia" sounds in-line with the practice medicine.

I like Velonews - sometimes I see an interesting report and then forget about it but then VN recycle it a week later as 'new', it's kinda like the +1 hour on the TV.

The OP trial and testimonies and reactions to that etc. are being discussed in the Playing God: Eufemiano Fuentes thread.

No need for multiple thread covering the same topic.

If you read the last sentence of the opening post, I alluded to that already.
This tread is slightly different in that I was hoping someone would be open to discuss the way the story's being played around the cycling media.

VeloNews seems willing keep in the headlines for now. I guess the bigger question is now that LA is done, will the press still persue doping with the same vigor.

I'll give this thread the chance to live on, but if the discussion is of the same topic as of the other thread, this thread will be closed.
