I was recently in Missoula Montana at Adventure Cycling Association. a guy rolled up on his way from Florida to Seattle touring to get his picture taken and the free ice cream etc. He had this same rim on and in that discipline 10 hours in saddle I see it working well.

Reminds me of a chap I once teamed with. Everyone called him 'The Mad Hatter' because he forever was showing up for training rides wearing a different sort of hat. Once it was a tricorner, another it was a fez, another it was a top hat, once even a ten gallon cowboy's hat. Always something different. Cheeky monkey wore a bishop's mitre on a Palm Sunday ride. If it had been Good Friday, he probably would have come wearing a crown of thorns.
