Lopez to drop everyone bar Cataldo, Uran and Wiggins, none of those three to even get a go at pulling the train. Uran allowed to win to keep him happy, over two minutes back to the fifth placed finisher.

Rafal ftw, he lost 5 minutes on the first day so isn't a threat for GC :)

Dreams, Majka, knee still in recovery. I hope to see at least one saxo-tinkoff to win or it is also more a dream.

If there are not movements from the foot of the climb then riders will enter Purito's Zone. Result: Crushing in the last kilometer.

i think purito is going to take it, he will just ride the sky train and then do one of his typical 1km sprints

Some people were expecting this on Prati di Tivo, but he wasn't as good as expected. If Purito has a good day though, he's the huge favourite, and Valverde has a very good chance of winning as well going head to head with him.

Other favourites:
Scarponi, Martin, Elissonde, Rujano, Pinot, Menchov, Moreno, Quintana, Pozzo, Uran, Hesjedal, Kiserlovski, Zubeldia, Anton, JvdB, De Gendt, Geesink and of course good ol' Wiggo.

I can see Dan Martin close to the victory in this kind of stage. IMO he can do it pretty well. The stage of Port Ainé is too much for him though. I wouldnt rate him for the GC.

I have no predictions. But I'm exciting to see what's tomorrow will bring. On paper, Purito and Valverde look good, but Sky team is like a shaolin master who just came down the mountain to smash everyone away. :D If they are successful, maybe there would be less riders to enter competition since all of them will opt to do high altitude training camp. (maybe the future trend of cycling) :D:D:D

so here we go, science vs instinct.
