Many different segments used of the climb. I've seen three different starting points that all give a similar difference to last year's time.

He’s 15 seconds in front of the guy who beat your guy on Angliru. It’s true it was raining which he likes and is faster than on the dry but still - would he have gone 15 seconds slower if it was dry today? I guess we’ll never know…

Looking at the Strava segments Pog was at least 1 minute faster than Ciccone, Rog and Remco. But Pog slowed down at the end while they sprinted for the stage win last year.

Demolition job! Good climbers 80-110 seconds behind. When I saw the rain and soaked riders before the climb I knew it wouldn't end well for them, those are hard conditions to perform for non-Teddy guys, he burns glicogene better. Too bad the broadcast was so sh**ty, at some point it looked like Pogi disappeared from the race! GC is set already on stage 2.

Ok for the second time now - that was ALL sarcasm. Not to be taken at face value... You should take into account who I was replying to.

In my book, anyone who beats his competition by 1:20 did a spectacular job while cross-year comparisons are completely irrelevant.

Little Lenny M. suffered from trying to attack too often, it seemed, but Landa's confidence must have been boosted. Vlasov showed he can hang in there but it did reflect that these guys are domestiques and not current GT contenders.

Ok, so I asked my boss if I could take the afternoon off today because I had to watch this "mega premiere" but he told me to get lost.
Now I come here to find out that not only is mou unsurprisingly terrible at keeping promises but you guys are getting all giddy about the shite weather merchant beating a bunch of farmers by not even 1,5 minutes. If Enric Mas manages to finish top 10 in a stage in March, the less said about the race the better.
Looks like I didn't miss anything and my boss was right after all, the bastard.

If Enric Mas manages to finish top 10 in a stage in March, the less said about the race the better.

With rain Pogacar is even better.
He needs several mountain stages and one really hard to show weakness, but with people as Vingegaard and very difficult with others.
Landa was ok, no super, but ok, with the rest of favourites behind him, and the stage was no perfect for himbut far from him.
I hoped Kuss to be with Landa at least, but maybe he is better with good weather. Anyway the race didnt finish, with very hard stages to come. but it looks like the rest will figh for second.

I think with the duo Landa-Remco, he would not be so quiet...but...

It is marvellous to have people like Pogacar, he is making history with big letters, but I cant add anything to the lot is writted about it, so just to give some times my opinion and be happy for the sport I love.

My kid is still crying because he had to miss half of his school friend's birthday. I tried blaming on waiting for biggest beatdown in history of sport but wife wasn't having none of it. "Show me the attack and beatdown." she said. Damn Mou and Spanish TV coverage
