Vuelta 1993 - Top 25

I just saw the Vuelta GC 93. Aparently two teams (13 riders) controlled the top 25. I know this happened around at the epo era, but still? Didn't it look too amazing even in 93? Or am I blowing things out of proportions

CLAS-Cajastur
1, 10, 11, 18, 20, 23, 24

Amaya Seguros
3, 4, 5, 8, 12, 16

Can anyone dig some dirt up on these teams? I know we, I'm danish, had a dane riding for Amaya Seguros (92 and 93) who later admitted to doping use.

What do you mean with "Clas --> Kelme"? Clas merged with Mapei in 1994.

I doubt any of these teams had a team-wide doping program, I think 1993 is quite early for that, but I might be surprised.

Sorry, my mistake - some of the riders from Clas ended up in Kelme. I'll alter the original.

Neither did I want to suggest it was a team programme. There were individuals who some years later popped up on radar.
