Fernando Escartín commentary:

Flat. New day for sprinters, and one of their final opportunities in this year's Vuelta. Their teams will be keeping everything in control so that there are no complications. The arrival in warm Seville after two weeks of competing will allow us to assess how tired everyone's legs are.

Strong breakaway but Quick-Step will be able to control this. The finish is interesting with some uphill stretches. Nonetheless, Trentin ftw!

Alberto Contador Velasco to win this bike race

Oh yeah, absolutely, as I wrote before that would be an epic sprinter attack from the bunch.

Sprinters rarely attack from the bunch. Alberto Contador however...!

5 roundabouts in the last 2km, 3 in the last km. Either, a peloton well stretched with gaps, or possibly crashes if fighting for position

Insane attack. This was the stage that contador showed to me that he would win that giro.

Lol, I still remember that after stage 7, when he was almost gapped in the uphill sprint, people were saying he must be desperate for bonus seconds. Then Etna explosion happened

I think he was gapped by scaponi at least (I know that he lost time but maybe was only in the bonifications).

I think it was bad decision from Bora (or from rider himself) not to send Sagan here
Even without super disposition he should just nail it
Couple of Sagan tailormade stages
