Looking forward to see how Paco Mancebo does against the WT pros. I dont think he can follow the best climbers but he is a very smart rider and should be fun to watch!

Well... on this course most of the peloton should be able to follow the best climbers, as there are no real climbs

what best climbers? if paco would want to come back and he would be allowed to come to europe...he would easily make the top ten of le tour. or are we thinking that tejay van garderen is a better grand tour rider than mancebo?even at his age

I do. Otherwise something is wrong again.

My father born close to the last stage and I know it quite well.

Tha Landscape, a Natural Parc with wolves, bears and full of deers is amazing, it looks Siberia, and the road is nasty, it is not really for climbers, but not easy for a bunch. Last climb is about 2 kms or maybe a little bit more averaging 7 %, and almost all the stage is above 1000 m, and that is not usual, averaging 1100 metros, thst is more than in a Alpine stage of the Tour or even dolomites...so altitude is a factor, road is another.
My cyclists to follow for this race are Txurruka, Omar Fraile, and the Burgos rider for Euskadi Carlos Barbero, who is talented.
Anyway, despite his doping past issues, Mancebo and Dueñas are good riders with a lot to say.

But, the wind will be a very important factor in the two first stages, so anything could happens
:)

Wtf???

WTF is wrong with the Castilla y Leon Organizers? how dare they come up with such stupid parcours? damn!! shame on them!!!

either Gilbert, Cancellara, Chavanel or Tony Martin could have won it easily had they taken part of it...what an embarrassment

What a misery this thread is.

Everybody knows that the race is in deep financial troubles. So we should be glad that it is running at all and has some decent riders at the start. I also like the parcours as it will provide a much more open race then the usual single-MTF-decides-it-all-snoozefest that smaller stage races often have become.

Mancebo started his season later then in last years, but last week he dominated Redlands big time. He should be up there with the best MOV and EUS guys.

Too right. At least it's not been cancelled like the other 23059 Spanish stage races we once had.

Before you know it, this race could soon be a one day event like Murcia.

Shame.
