Believe this is the detailed profile of the final climb

I think a big break is pretty likely. I don't see anyone other than Movistar interested in controlling the peloton, and I doubt they have the manpower to control a big break and also control the final climbs.

This should be an interesting stage. Keep all GC contenders on their toes. This is the type of stages where riders that lost some time yesterday would want to recuperate some of it back.

Nothing will happen on the last climb I fear. Break will win by 10 minutes and the GC leaders will arrive more or less together.

Guerreiro to win from a break and get the jersey? I don't think the favourite teams would mind that too much.

The GC contenders will probably save themselves for the next stage and the break will take it.

Someone might have a go on the last climb, but the finish on Friday will be in the back of everyone's mind. Break by 10 minutes.

movistar is in a dilemma. If they work, they can win the stage with valverde but they are gonna put quintana in troubles.

Now that would be cool but so far even when he shows the skills, still seems to lack the killer instinct.
I wonder if he's planning on riding GC to see how far he goes; he was 13th in California already back in 2016 which seems to indicate some but potential but he seems to be focusing more on 1-day-races these past seasons. He strikes as the kind of guy with the skills to become a good stage hunter and hilly classics rider if only he can develop some tactical sense. I was a bit surprised to see him trying to follow Naesen and Avermaet in the cobbles, then trying an attack on the stage to Calpe I think and today being in top15 of the best climbers.
Very interested to see how this race goes for him and how his career develops.

Will the break stick? Caja Rural missed out and they have Aranburu, same goes for Katusha with Guerreiro.

So, after José Herrada came up short yesterday, today it's Jesus Herrada's turn to give it a go.
