Hello. I'm not sure it that deserves a new thread or will it be interesting to someone, but this Vuelta has plenty of young and exciting riders.

And no, I'm not talking about "the proven" Almeida, Arensman, Ayuso, Remco, Buitrago....
I'm talking about the ones that make their GT debut - Lennert Van Eetvelt, Lenny Martinez, Romain Grégoire, Max Poole, Oscar Onley, Cian Uijtdebroeks even Kévin Vauquelin...
What are your expectations? Who will perform best and what do you expect? Stage win(s), top 10, KOM?

Only guy I have seen a few times live and noticed him is probably Cian, so Im personally looking forward to watching these guys mix it up and get to know them. For some reason Im especially excited about Gregoire.

Expecting the most of Cian out of all these youngster. He's going to be the first Bora rider in GC in Madrid.

Max Poole was really strong in Romandie, I didn't watch Dauphine, but he was 5th twice (Croix-de-Fer including). I mostly remember Oscar Onley from his battles with Vingegaard in Croatia.
As for Lenny, surprised you didn't notice him, he's had some decent showings (6th place on Lo Port).
The other two were wildcards, I agree, but probably someone will hype Van Eetvelt.

Skeletor will soon realize what it's like to meet his kryptonite. Onley was already at his level at the age of 19 in Cro race last year and has surely developed since then. He'll do to Vingo what Vingo did to Teddy. Only Onley!

The future of cycling starts here! Yep, lots of good young uns. Hoping for some of them to get a chance in a breakaway and some will do well when it gets lumpy.

I predict that neo-pros will win 2 or 3 stages - There are lots of talented riders in this cohort.

Highest chance of winning a stage I believe will be Grégoire. He is not climbing bad but most important is that his sprint and ending punch is superior over all the others. I think he can even win a sprint of a lager group.
Of this group I think Cian has climbed best so far; but he is just not winning, not coming close even. And sometimes riding as domestic. Which i think he will do partly here as well; as domestic he can ride for GC, but without pressure (like he rode in Catalunya).
Grégoire, Lenny, LVE, Vauquelin already had one or more victories (did I miss one?). Lenny and Grégoire the most nice wins I think.
One on one LVE has beaten climbing Onley and Martinez; Martinez and LVE already won a sprint from a climbers group.

Well Gregoire could even win tomorrow honestly. Should be one of the biggest outsiders.

Sad to see Onley had to leave. This sport is so brutal.

Impressive performance from Lenny Martinez today. I expected Uijtdebroeks in that group but not actually Martinez. Together with Ayuso three 20-year-olds in the 11-headed frontgroup today.

It was a fantastic ride by Martinez to finish in the front group - Gregoire is suited by shorter and punchier climbs.
