Website gems

We all know cyclingnews.com is a brilliant website, but there are some great smaller sites around. Being interested in cycling from the southern hemisphere I stumbled across a couple of local gems including http://cyclingnz.com and www.downundercycling.weebly.com
Both these sites are informative and have good content. The downundercycling site has an especially good quality of writing.
Does anyone else know of a smaller, lesser known site, from anywhere in the world that is worth a look?

Cheers

If you dont Like the reading on CN try twisted spoke its different .

You must remember that Cyclingnews.com was the first web site ever offering the service it was run by Bill Mitcheal in Newcastle NSW
Bill run this in his spare time.

i.e he got up early in morning say 4.30 am and get as much info from the euro scean then do a 90 km training ride then update again before going to work. then during the day he would update and again at night all done by one man in his spare time. also a full time Uni professor and riding in bike races.

Where is Bill now clapped out burnt out cyclist who has probably done with the sport. no he wont stop he will reapear one day.
he did sugest he may start a grass roots version of CN to see how it goes but we will have to wait and see.

Thanks for the recommendations. Enjoyed all the sites that you listed. Don't get me wrong, I love cyclingnews.com but I love looking at some of the 'smaller' sites out there. Cheers.

Here's a few that I enjoy perusing at any opportunity i get:

Belgium Knee Warmers
Belgium Knee Warmers is a site where updates have ceased, but if you've never read it before, there's a great deal of info, stories and photos there. Plus, lots of talk of embrocation.

Red Kite Prayer
This site is the continuation of BKW. Still a very, very good read. It certainly gets your mind ticking.

Fourteen Teeth
An amalgamation of a lot of sites that are centred on fixed gear stuff, but there are the occasional diamonds in the rough. Plus there's some good photography on some of these sites.

Speedbicycles
If you enjoy browsing through myriad classic bicycles, then this website is for you. It's a great place to waste a few hours just looking and lusting after some of the more classic pieces of cycling history.

I've got a few more stored on my PC at home. I might have to add them at some stage.
