Wow wow... easy pal... I'm a big Kreuziger fan but I'm not that enthusiastic...

Well, if there would be world championship in this discipline he might be some seconds behind Cancellara..
But in this year´s TdS Kreuziger could beat him..

Just few little comments to this discussion:
*In 2008 Kreuziger had no support from his team in the mountains. There was only Nibali who stayed with him in some climbs, but he was also very young and suffered fall during the stage to Prato Nevoso (where Kreuziger was -by the way- incredible, better than Evans and other contenders). So he wasn´t in much better position than Andy. "Leader" of no team and superdomestique in the GC winner´s team, that´s quite the same. - And it was battle to the last ITT...

I don't think it's the same. And it was battle to the last ITT mainly due to this fact. For instance - Andy looked like he could easily climb with Sastre to Alpe d'Huez, but he had to stay with Frank.. etc.
As for short ITT - bit exaggerated, i think I would like to see improvement in long and flat ITT instead.

I think Contador was in his best condition etc. last year TdF 2009 ...next year Andy will dominate AC 2nd place in 2011...Kreuziger maybe 5 or 6th place ???

Losing by a second to Cancellara in 1 prologue (with a hill in it no less), where cancellara was clearly not on form (though maybe neither was Kreuziger) doesnt say much.

The good thing you can say about him is that if he makes it as a gc guy, he will be in a good position to take time out of all his rivals in tts but he is not close to cancellara at the moment.

And to the poster who said he would lose seconds to canc in the world tt. Martin who is superiot to Roman in tts lost 3 mins in the last tt. Kreuziger would lose about 3 minutes too.

I expected him to be top 5 in this year's Tour de France, so he dissapointed me, but I still believe in him. He's just 24, I think we should give him a couple of years more till we can say if he's good enough to win a Grand Tour. Being with Vino can only help him to develop.

I meant short TT - prologue, like in TdS. Classic ITT is just domain of Cancellara with Martin, Konovalovas (..) hoping to don´t lose more than minute, of course..

I think Kreuziger will welcome being in a team with just 2 leaders compared to the 7 or so riders who at different points of the season become leaders at liqui

He has stopped progressing since 2 years.
Ofcourse, it's dangerous to predict anything because he could still make a later age 'jump', look at f.ex Vandenbroeck.

But for now I don't see him as a future GT winner. Mainly because he stopped improving for 2 years
