What is the number

What is the number when rehab is in order? When someone should consider a 12 step program..

Is it if you post more the 4, 3, 2 or once a day on average? Or should it be on the time spent trolling the board? Or you’re over all post count?

Someone should look into it.

you need rehab when you have photos of Britney Murphy and John Belushi in your wallet.or you use a credit card to buy dope or booze.

I don't know but people who dislike what is discussed here but continue to read the forum and complain about it might want to look into a program for themselves. I am not sure that only physchiatric help can cure these people--it probably also requires strong drugs--but there is always a chance. Please don't miss out on getting help because you think the chance of a cure is low. There is always hope--or dope.

Totally spot on, especially when they try to claim the high ground because they are so superior and dont post on this forum.

A lot people on here are described as being obsessed with hating Lance and there is a lot of hate going around but look at somebody like CC. Look at his post history and try and find a post not related to Lance, Radioshsack, AC v Lance. That is worrying.

Agree with you and bro, and that guy speedway is probably the most annoying when it comes to that.
Don't quite agree when it comes to Carboncrank though. True he can be amazingly redundant when it comes to anything having to do with Armstrong, but he has posted in other areas. Look back and you will find him engaging in a very entertaining trollathon with TFF in a thread TFF started specifically with troll intent about the Beatles sucking. The two of them really went to the mat on that one, and provided hours of entertainment. He also took on the Ayn Rand hypercapitalist government haters in the Obama thread.
Not quite sure what his whole Lance worship thing is all about, but mostly I think he just likes to argue. Not that much different than a lot of us.:D

Oh right, so he posted in the non-cycling threads, that still backs up my assertation. If it wasnt for Lance, he wouldnt ever be here.

Another forum I frequent, I won't say which, has a post/threadcounter called "The order of the Kilopi." Or order of the kilo pi (3,141 posts). Some guys (or gals:)) have over 30,000 posts! Then again, these are NASA/CERN/JPL scientists.
[Insert shameless pun here...] the astronomical stuff they come up with make you feel very small!

I think it's when you post on a professional cycling forum despite having no interest regarding professional cycling in general.

Carboncrank
BigBoat
SpeedWay
mitchman (if anyone was experiencing déjà vu - http://forum.cyclingnews.com/showthread.php?t=5166)
regressor
RTMcFadden

etc

Therefore, the number is one.

Troll threads made by weak trolls = ridiculous. If you're going to make a troll thread you might want to have some sort of argument, although I'm sure the handbook contradicts this.

Who are you to say who does or does not have an interest in professional cycling. What you mean is people that don't share your point of view. Or is it your limited intellect?

That one is called "Dropping a man-hole cover." They are slightly larger, and more dense than a dime.:D

Have a look at your own profile and your post pattern. You stick to a handful of threads in the Clinic either trying to defend Lance or hammer LeMond. If you do not post on other topics, especially in the racing section, we can only draw our own conclusions. Same with CC and the others. For example BigBoat is not anti-Lance, he seems to be anti everybody, I think he is a cycling fan but we are left with only one impression of him based on his posts.

Very often the same people accuse everybody else of being obsessed with hammering Lance but as they never look outside the Lance threads, they never get a real impression of other posters in general.

Err, read the first post? Who is he to say that people's time spent on the forums posting (or discussing Armstrong if you take his previous thread into account) is somehow an "illness" or w/e it is you have when you need this thing called "Rehab".

I don't know if these people share my point of view, because I've only ever seen them posting on one issue (either HWSNBN or forum etiquette). If they expressed their opinion on a range of issues, then maybe I'd be able to make a better judgement. I probably share a point of view more with BigBoat than the others in regards to HWSNBN, but that doesn't mean he's excluded.

If you had an interest in professional cycling, wouldn't you comment on it? What did you think of Chicchi's burst in Stage 4, more to come from him? If post count is any indicator, your interest in pro cycling is nothing compared to your interest in testing EPO samples.

I have nothing against lurkers, but if you register to post something less related, wouldn't you extend your posting to your interest in cycling? My knowledge of cycling pales in comparison to most other posters, but I still try and post occasionally (often asking questions) as it helps me learn. There's no shame in admitting your understanding of the sport isn't first-class. Get involved, no one should get criticised for a poor understanding if they approach it in an open and friendly manner.

I lurked for a few months, but finally registered because I felt compelled to say something on subject not strictly specific to professional road cycling. But I figured if I wanted to establish any sort of standing within the community, I'd have to make a contribution in a range of areas.

I just don't understand why you'd register and post if you have no interest in integrating with the community. Just seems like the people who do that simply want an argument or to ruin discussions amongst existing members of the community. You seem completely reasonable, what's stopping you from making a more balanced contribution, rather than just antagonising in specific threads for the thrill of it?
