What the *** is wrong with this giro?

Stage1: nothing happened.
Stage2: actual sprint without a crash
Stage3: Tinkoff thinking for some reason they've to lead the race.
Stage4: Kreuziger about to have a lead of minutes until astana goes full ***. Uran already dropped.
Stage5: Contador attacks on a "easy" climb. Only 3 guys can follow.
Stage6: Contador dislocates his shoulder twice.
Stage7: A very long and a very boring ride.
Stage8: Crazy start.
Stage9: Crazy start. Uran dropped again.
Stage10: Wheelgate, Porte loses 3 min.
Stage11: Aru not looking good, Uran crashes. Zakalin makes the clinic happy.
Stage12: Aru looking worse, and astana with again strange stactics.

Then stage 13, an easy 150km flat stage....

After 8 years competing in GT's Contador finally lost a leaders jersey in a GT cause of a dumb crash AT 3.2KM!! xD Porte loses almost 2 min

So what's next in this insane giro?

And the break has survived a lot of times in this giro aswell.

I can't believe it, Alberto lost his chance to get a historic track record because of a stupid crash, how ironic, sheesh. I would have rather seen Aru outsprint him for bonus seconds yesterday.

What do you mean, "wrong"?

Well i've never seen flat stages like that, so it's not up to the normal norm. Maybe there are better words to describe it, i don't see why you gotta nitpick since i'm sure you know what i mean.

I didn't mean to nitpick. I'm just saying most of those things in your OP are pretty great.

I don't think people losing time because of crashes are great. Mechanical, I can live with that, but a crash that forms a roadblock is plain bad. Nothing great about that.

Yes that's what I said, I love crashes, can't get enough of them.

By at least 4 minutes over a couple of teammates.

In my opinion there is nothing wrong with this Giro..

It is highly entertaining so far...

Not that i like likers to crash, but at least it seems to provide some sense of a race where everything can happen..

The fact that you (pretty much) need to stay tuned everyday not to miss some action is pretty amazing...

I am sort of torn. On the one hand, this has been incredibly entertaining racing--the best GT I have seen in years. On the other, I hate it when the biggest GC gaps come from crashes and mechanicals. But I think we will see much bigger gaps from the racing proper in the days ahead.

Vesivius erupts causing all TV helicopters to be grounded due to the Ash. Aru gets blown across a field and breaks his bike. Porte gives him his. Aru then gets a severn minute penalty added on to being six minutes down already, after having to get back to the road. The next stage Contador protests about the penalty while everyone else just rides off. By the time they've got ti Milan, Ji Cheng leads the Giro by three hours.

However knowone knew this happened as the Helicopters were grounded!

You forgot something in the OP.

Stage 2 - Crash with Pozzovivo included, lost 1 minute
Stage 3 - Pozzovivo brutal scary crash

Oh yea pozzo, that's how bad it is. I completely forgot about it cause of all the other things;

I love everything about this Giro. Until we get to Milan, I say this is wide open.
It is wide open, anything can happen etc. Because of crashes and mechanicals!! Nothing to love about that. Hate this Giro already. Only Alberto winning it could salvage it.

Every GT has crashes and favorites retiring because of that. But in terms of racing, this is one of the best GT's in years.

But only crashes and mechanicals created significant gaps between the GC contenders.
