I'm partial to all-black for my bikes, but if I had to go color:

I have been thinking about this, I can't give a photo, the bike was written off by a car 20 years ago (5 days in hospital so I wasn't much better), but I use to have a Cecil Walker in Reynolds 531"P" that had a Chrome Fork and seat/chain stays and a metalic white paint job (this was about 1992, so we didn't really have pearl effect)
I would do the same thing today but with black carbon wheels replacing my old box section Weinmann rims and Black bar tape (the white never matched properly)
