I want to like Michelin Pro Races but once they are worn a bit they seem very susceptible to nicks, cuts, and flats.
Yep. I love the Michelin Racing Pro 3's when they are new. Great tire. But after about 500 miles they get cut quite easily. I flatted twice yesterday on my rear tire; didn't realize that the tire was cut just enough (by glass, metal, or something I ran over) to let just a tiny bit of tube poke out, and blammo, wasted two tubes, two cannisters and finally patched a tube and used a dollar bill for a "boot" on the tire. BTW using paper money as "boot" material works great if you ever really cut a tire badly. It will get you home for sure.
