Will Tour de France 2011 be a farce?

I don't understand why there seems to be so much hatred for AC. I don't see his training program as being any worse than his rivals.

And as for his racing, well, he is consistently good, and consistently aggressive. The only reason that the races that he is in are sometimes boring is because he is too superior to everyone. He doesn't spend all his time just following wheels. For example he saved the Etna stage single handily.

And I don't see why this Tour would be more of a farce than any other recent one. It may be a better spectacle with Contador there.

Look at the amount of dopers who are gonna be riding. But then again I guess they always do so yeah, but all cycling races are nowadays and it's tragic

There's sort of a "gap" between the fans and the cynics like us. Cynics have known the tour was a farce for a long time. Fans aren't so interested - it wouldn't matter how doped the peloton was they would still turn out with their flags and enthusiasm. It is, at the end of the day, just sport.
