No he didn't. Kung in his prime is close to be the best in TTs under 20 km. Losing 11 seconds to Ganna in 12 km is not good for his standards. He rode excellent at Vuelta ITT kept good pace against outstanding riders by Ganna,Vine,
I wrote and then deleted my post. Kung beat 147 survivors of 18 days of grand tour, WT level racing. No he didn't. Kung in his prime is close to be the best in TTs under 20 km. Losing 11 seconds to Ganna in 12 km is not good for his standards.
I read your old post (before you deleted).I wrote and then deleted my post. Kung beat 147 survivors of 18 days of grand tour, WT level racing.
He was beat by 5 people.Ganna and Almeida, being 2 of the 5..
I personally think that a 6th place in a grand tour stage is absolutely incredible, a dream for me. I dream small apparently..
It was at the end of a GT. Different rules apply.I read your old post (before you deleted).
Just to clarify, for a rider with loads of wins in TTs like Kung has, what he did in the Vuelta is anything but great.
Was Pogacar great in the Dauphiné just because he was only beaten by 3 riders? Or would Remco race a good TT tomorrow if he was 3rd?
We don't expect the same from riders, there are some we expect more because they showed to us they are better. Kung has been a top5 TT specialist in his career. We can't say he did a good TT just because he was 6th, specially in a route tailormade for him. It's really his speciality, TTs under 25 km.
I think this too. I know Pog is the bookies favourite, but that's because he's Pog and isn't really merited if we look at who has the best result in one day TTs, the length of the TT, and the parcours. All of these things tip the balance significantly towards Remco IMO.It's a time trial of more than 50 minutes. There could be surprises because most riders aren't used to doing a time trial of that distance.
Remco is favorite; in such a long time trial, it's hard for the most especialist rider not to win.I think Kung will collapse; it's too long for him at this moment.
Pidcock may unironically be Pogacar's biggest competitor if his Vuelta level also translates to an improved level in one day races.Us not even bothering with the tt coinciding nicely with Hayter stuffing everyone in Luxembourg, hopefully Pidcock can get some supercompensation going in the RR otherwise it's not looking good again.
Yeah, like in SB when Pogacar completely destroyed him in 18 km after kissing the ground.Pidcock may unironically be Pogacar's biggest competitor if his Vuelta level also translates to an improved level in one day races.
So who was Pogacar biggest competitor in SB?Yeah, like in SB when Pogacar completely destroyed him in 18 km after kissing the ground.
Pidcock is nowhere near the level of Pogacar.
For the RR, however, I see Pogacar as a bigger favorite than before seeing images of the route.I think this too. Hard for me to say someone was Pogacar's biggest rival but yeah Pidcock was the closest rival of Pogacar that day.So who was Pogacar biggest competitor in SB?
I don’t think any are on start list, would have been interested in what Hayter could have done hereAny pictures of British riders?
A meme team? Wtf?Yeah i checked his results I didn't realise how washed he is.
Explains why he's gonna get a big fat contract at a meme team.
6th in E3, 9th Dwars and 7th in Ronde is washed?Yeah i checked his results I didn't realise how washed he is.

Küng himself said that Top 10 would be a realistic goal on a course like this, so he may expect to lose even more, i guess. Sounded like focus is more on the Mixed TTTKung is having a tough year. His TT performances have been very underwhelming. I don't expect him to lose 2'30" but 2' is possible specially if Kung realizes he will not top3 after the third check point.
He is not washed but he is far from his old self in TTs. Results show that.6th in E3, 9th Dwars and 7th in Ronde is washed?
As far as ITTs goes... I dont think the Malhao ITT or the one in Suisse suited him very much.
10th, 6th and 6th in others. Two being pretty short and the last one being at the end of a GT.
When you put things into context. It is bold and foolish to say washed.
"Far from" is a stretch when he finished in the top 10 in 3/5 and as said... two were relatively short and one at the end of a GT.He is not washed but he is far from his old self in TTs. Results show that.
