Interesting to note that new President Macron and PM Édouard Philippe renamed the "Ministry of Defence", "Ministry of the Armies". First time since 1974. First time called Ministry of Defence in 1947. Is it a signal of what the new French foreign policy would be? The former Minister of Defence sent a helicopter carrier in the Corean Sea. He's now the Foreign Minister. Besides the new Minister of the Armies is a die-hard Europeist Sylvie Goulard who refuses debates with "eurosceptics" because she's so deep in the "dogma".

Wow. Just read a little about her. She should be the poster woman of Globalism! Straight out of the Henry Kissinger school of thought.

...just had 2 hearty laffs after digesting a couple news stories this morn. one laff was a genuine grin and another was sarcastic

the real laff was about the BIG news that china begged america for 100 more days in which it was committing itself to straighten its norkor child or america will act unilaterally. this 'news' sounded too submissive and convenient for the chinese ways i came to know and respect. besides the 100 days trial smells too american. so, as is my usual practice, i checked the alternatives sources. in this case it was the cctv chinese global portal.

not a peep in ANY of the languages they broadcast and which i understand ! sure, the slow chinese may be a tad behind the news cycle, but i doubt they are. more like another fake news manufactured to both justify more aggression (when and if required) while looking to overcome the domestic polls and political struggles.

the sarcasm was of course about trump in israel and the palestinian peace...i was watching france24 as bibi and trump were engaged in a live flood of mutual praises and compliments. it was a porno political intercourse in public. then suddenly trump let one of those bombs out - he was absolutely sure that the israeli-palestinian conflict will be solved.

as if the palestinians must swallow his promises to move the embassy to Jerusalem, stop pretesting the illegal construction of more settlements, stop seeing a concentration camp that the gazan palestinians live in, stop protesting the daily human rights violations..

this latter one is either a poorly written comedy or an actual case when masters seriously consider the palestinians lowly fools and idiots, not much unlike the american indians at the time, ready to be sold for trinkets. or else..

....a seemingly good article on the recent defeat of the concept of France in the recent "French" elections....could quote most of the article but was especially enamoured with the following....cause it contained the bolded...

The fact that Paris voted 90% for Macron is natural, considering that real estate prices have pushed the working class out of the capital, whose population is now overwhelmingly what is called “bobo” – the bohemian bourgeoisie, many of whom are employed in various branches of the dominant human rights ideology fabrication business: journalists, professors, teachers, consultants, the entertainment industry. In these milieux, hardly anyone would even dare speak a positive word about Marine Le Pen.

...seems in Europe elections are being fought less along the lines of class but more along the lines of consumer choices....latte drinkers vs non-latte drinkers....nominally a pseudo crypto "anti-facist" front vs a strawman ghost of facism.....

Bomber's father fought against Gaddafi regime with 'terrorist' group

Ramadan Abedi fled Gaddafi regime in 1990s but fought during Libyan revolution in 2011, says fellow fighter

https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2017/may/24/bombers-father-fought-against-gaddafi-regime-with-terrorist-group

....or what ?....

UK Government Harbored Terrorists Linked to Manchester Blast for Decades

UK Proscribed terrorist organization, Libyan Islamic Fighting Group (LIFG), maintains large presence in Manchester area and is now being linked to recent blast.

By Tony Cartalucci
May 25, 2017 "Information Clearing House" - As suspected and as was the case in virtually all recent terror attacks carried out in Europe - including both in France and Belgium - the suspect involved in the recent Manchester blast which killed 22 and injured scores more was previously known to British security and intelligence agencies.

The Telegraph in its article, "Salman Abedi named as the Manchester suicide bomber - what we know about him," would report:

Salman Abedi, 22, who was reportedly known to the security services, is thought to have returned from Libya as recently as this week.
While initial reports attempted to craft a narrative focused on a a "lone wolf" attacker who organized and executed the blast himself, the nature of the improvised explosive device used and the details of the attack revealed what was certainly an operation carried out by someone who either acquired militant experience through direct contact with a terrorist organization, or was directed by a terrorist organization with extensive experience.

A Thriving Terrorist Community in the Midst of Manchester

The same Telegraph article would also admit (emphasis added):
A group of Gaddafi dissidents, who were members of the outlawed Libyan Islamic Fighting Group (LIFG), lived within close proximity to Abedi in Whalley Range.

Among them was Abd al-Baset Azzouz, a father-of-four from Manchester, who left Britain to run a terrorist network in Libya overseen by Ayman al-Zawahiri, Osama bin Laden’s successor as leader of al-Qaeda.

Azzouz, 48, an expert bomb-maker, was accused of running an al-Qaeda network in eastern Libya. The Telegraph reported in 2014 that Azzouz had 200 to 300 militants under his control and was an expert in bomb-making.

Another member of the Libyan community in Manchester, Salah Aboaoba told Channel 4 news in 2011 that he had been fund raising for LIFG while in the city. Aboaoba had claimed he had raised funds at Didsbury mosque, the same mosque attended by Abedi.
Thus, the required experience for the recent Manchester attack exists in abundance within the community's Libyan Islamic Fighting Group (LIFG) members.

LIFG is in fact a proscribed terrorist group listed as such by the United Kingdom's government in 2005, and still appears upon its list of "Proscribed terrorist groups or organisations," found on the government's own website
.

The Guardian in a 2011 article titled, "The Libyan Islamic Fighting Group – from al-Qaida to the Arab spring," would claim:

British intelligence and security service interest in Libya has focused for 20 years on the Libyan Islamic Fighting Group (LIFG), whether it was opposing Muammar Gaddafi and working with al-Qaida, later renouncing its old jihadi worldview – or taking part in the armed uprising that has now overthrown the regime.

The article in reality is nothing more than an attempt to portray a listed terrorist organization as "reformed" ahead of increased public awareness regarding the true nature of Libya's US and British-backed "rebels."

LIFG members would not only assist the US and British governments in the 2011 overthrow of the Libyan government, they would also move on - with Western arms and cash - to NATO-member Turkey where they staged an invasion of northern Syria

....not hard to see how some folks might see this as rather disturbing and maybe start thinking thingees like false flag.....I mean there is an election just around the corner and this would definitely help May who is the security candidate and hurt Corbyn whose poll numbers have been advancing....

^ USA Generals Retirement Fantasy

Zbigniew Brzezinski is dead at age 89 years. The man’s life and career is evidence prima facie supporting the folk proverb ‘only the good die young.’ It was Robert Gates mid-wifed al-Qaida into a force to be reckoned with during the USA’s covert war in 1980s Afghanistan, but Brzezinski was the *** who conceived what became that evil; a branch of which saw a splinter morph into Islamic State. The man deserves nothing less than personal attention from Satan’s top torturers for eternity.

The joke is the American people who’re clueless as the stereotype blonde; the punchline is our generals retiring from the resultant ‘war on terror’ to become filthy rich working within the military industrial corporate scene, prostituting-profiting on the taxpayers dime.

The general calls across the river to Ivanka Trump: How do I get to the other side? Ivanka shouts back: You ARE on the other side!

.....and speaking of the template for Syria....

The following excerpted from Brzezinski’s interview with Le Nouvel Observateur, at Paris, January 1998

Q: The former director of the CIA, Robert Gates, stated in his memoirs [“From the Shadows”], that American intelligence services began to aid the Mujahadeen in Afghanistan 6 months before the Soviet intervention. In this period you were the national security adviser to President Carter. You therefore played a role in this affair. Is that correct?

Brzezinski: Yes. According to the official version of history, CIA aid to the Mujahadeen began during 1980, that is to say, after the Soviet army invaded Afghanistan, 24 Dec 1979. But the reality, secretly guarded until now, is completely otherwise: Indeed, it was July 3, 1979 that President Carter signed the first directive for secret aid to the opponents of the pro-Soviet regime in Kabul. And that very day, I wrote a note to the president in which I explained to him that in my opinion this aid was going to induce a Soviet military intervention

https://ronaldthomaswest.com/2017/05/27/the-joke-the-punchline/

....so contrary to the generally accepted story that the military aid was to counter Soviet intervention it was in fact to provoke intervention....this level of skullduggery and the consequent bs story that was hatched and maintained certainly makes the idea that 9/11 was nothing more than a "fund raiser" just a touch more plausible don't it ?....after all the same players are involved and playing to basically the same punch line....

....you know its funny but I just can't get past the weirdness of so many different "official" sources screaming on cue that 9/11 was the modern Pearl Harbour....it still strikes me as some sort of Freudian slip or script over-reach or something....I guess they could as easily been screaming "Remember the Maine" but that may have been a bit of history that was too far away ( not that cemented in our Hollywood penned reality eh )....

....file under a thought to be considered....

In the wake of the massacre in Manchester, people rightly warn against blaming the entire Muslim community in Britain and the world. Certainly one of the aims of those who carry out such atrocities is to provoke the communal punishment of all Muslims, thereby alienating a portion of them who will then become open to recruitment by Isis and al-Qaeda clones.

This approach of not blaming Muslims in general but targeting “radicalisation” or simply “evil” may appear sensible and moderate, but in practice it makes the motivation of the killers in Manchester or the Bataclan theatre in Paris in 2015 appear vaguer and less identifiable than it really is. Such generalities have the unfortunate effect of preventing people pointing an accusing finger at the variant of Islam which certainly is responsible for preparing the soil for the beliefs and actions likely to have inspired the suicide bomber Salman Abedi.

The ultimate inspiration for such people is Wahhabism, the puritanical, fanatical and regressive type of Islam dominant in Saudi Arabia, whose ideology is close to that of al-Qaeda and Isis. This is an exclusive creed, intolerant of all who disagree with it such as secular liberals, members of other Muslim communities such as the Shia or women resisting their chattel-like status.

What has been termed Salafi jihadism, the core beliefs of Isis and al-Qaeda, developed out of Wahhabism, and has carried out its prejudices to what it sees as a logical and violent conclusion. Shia and Yazidis were not just heretics in the eyes of this movement, which was a sort of Islamic Khmer Rouge, but sub-humans who should be massacred or enslaved. Any woman who transgressed against repressive social mores should be savagely punished. Faith should be demonstrated by a public death of the believer, slaughtering the unbelievers, be they the 86 Shia children being evacuated by bus from their homes in Syria on 15 April or the butchery of young fans at a pop concert in Manchester on Monday night.

The real causes of “radicalisation” have long been known, but the government, the BBC and others seldom if ever refer to it because they do not want to offend the Saudis or be accused of anti-Islamic bias. It is much easier to say, piously but quite inaccurately, that Isis and al-Qaeda and their murderous foot soldiers “have nothing to do with Islam”. This has been the track record of US and UK governments since 9/11. They will look in any direction except Saudi Arabia when seeking the causes of terrorism. President Trump has been justly denounced and derided in the US for last Sunday accusing Iran and, in effect, the Shia community of responsibility for the wave of terrorism that has engulfed the region when it ultimately emanates from one small but immensely influential Sunni sect. One of the great cultural changes in the world over the last 50 years is the way in which Wahhabism, once an isolated splinter group, has become an increasingly dominant influence over mainstream Sunni Islam, thanks to Saudi financial support.

Manchester, Berlin, Paris, Nice, London, New York: Passports and IDs Mysteriously Discovered in the Wake of Terror Attacks

....and stuff to consider....

Legitimacy of the official stories? The UK is both a “victim of terrorism” as well as a “State sponsor of terrorism”. Without exception, the governments of the Western countries victims of terror attacks, have supported, directly or indirectly, the Al Qaeda group of terrorist organizations including the Islamic State (ISIS), which are allegedly responsible for waging these terror attacks. Amply documented Al Qaeda is a creation of the CIA

....and speakin' of weird....or maybe not so weird....which to some screams volumes....

Two months after the alleged chemical attack on Khan Sheikhoun in Syria and the US cruise missile strike on Al-Shayrat air base from where the alleged chemical attack was allegedly launched, the OPCW investigators charged with investigating the alleged chemical attack have failed to inspect either location
.

....and just to drive a huge nail thru this and pin it to an appropriate door....

......the failure of the OPCW inspectors to inspect either location meant that the investigation of the Khan Sheikhoun attack had effectively collapsed even before it started.

Needless to say it is a basic principle of any criminal investigation – which is what this investigation essentially is – that the investigators inspect the crime scene and any other locations related to it. The fact that the inspectors in this case have not even attempted to discharge this basic task shows that they are not really interested in carrying out an investigation at all.

This is the inevitable consequence of the President of the United States and of Western governments making a pronouncement of the Syrian government’s guilt before any investigation of the Khan Sheikhoun incident had taken place. That inevitably was going to prejudice the conduct of the investigation, with the result that we now see.

What that means is that when the investigation eventually reports its findings they will carry no authority, and will be rejected with good cause by those who dispute its conclusions
.

Nice conclusion you make. Did those 'white helmets' collect samples on behalf of the French and other teams finding that sarin or sarin-like substances were used? Strangely, I see only Russian news reports (25/05) saying that all conditions are now good for the OPCW to visit. One day later, your story was posted. So clearly, yes, it's time to draw far-sweeping conclusions.

...following up on my immediate impressions of the just ended live press-conference btwn vlad and macron.

1st off, the setting was a bit unusual b/c macron in a special rare gesture for a foreign visitor held the meet in Versailles.

the content or the progress in the talks was hard to measure, b/c both talked in generalities and motherhoods.

i only was left with interpreting their faces and intonations. vlad was tense and very serious even biting his lips once or twice. as if he was under great pressure. macron, otoh, was sounding as if he enjoyed himself. when asked about the le pen visit to moscow, he refused to comment. when asked why he did not allow the rt and sputnik reporters at one of his electoral events, he bluntly called them 'spreaders of false information'. said the sanction may be enhanced if needed, to which vlad said - somewhat besides the point - it wont help anything.

Russia Calls House Bill an “Act of War.” Will the Senate Block H.R. 1644?

What caught the eye of Russian critics was Section 104, the part of the bill that presumed to grant the US “inspection authorities” over shipping ports (and major airports) far beyond the Korean Peninsula – specifically, ports in China, Russia, Syria, and Iran. The bill identifies more than 20 foreign targets, including: two ports in China (Dandong and Dalian and “any other port in the People’s Republic of China that the President deems appropriate”); ten ports in Iran (Abadan, Bandar-e-Abbas, Chabahar, Bandar-e-Khomeini, Bushehr Port, Asaluyeh Port, Kish, Kharg Island, Bandar-e-Lenge, Khorramshahr, and the Tehran Imam Khomeini International Airport); four facilities in Syria (the ports at Latakia, Banias, Tartous and the Damascus International Airport) and; three ports in Russia (Nakhodka, Vanino, and Vladivostok). Under the proposed law, the US Secretary of Homeland Security could use the National Targeting Center’s Automated Targeting System to search any ship, plane, or conveyance that has “entered the territory, waters, or airspace of North Korea, or landed in any of the sea ports or airports of North Korea.” Any vessel, aircraft, or vehicle found in violation of this US law would be subject to “seizure and forfeiture.” House Bill Raises a Red Flag for Russia

“I hope [this bill] will never be implemented,” Kosachev told Sputnik News, “because its implementation envisions a scenario of power with forced inspections of all vessels by US warships. Such a power scenario is beyond comprehension, because it means a declaration of war.”

Russian officials were understandably outraged by Congress’ imperious move to extend the US military’s authority to include surveillance of sovereign ports in the Russian Far East. Russia’s Upper House heatedly noted that such actions constitute a violation of international law that was tantamount to a declaration of war.

“No country in the world, and no international organization, has authorized the US to monitor implementation of any resolutions of the UN Security Council,” Kosachev observed. He accused Washington of attempting to “affirm the supremacy of its own legislation over international law,” an example of US “exceptionalism” that he claimed constitutes “the main problem of present-day international relations.”

Kosachev’s Upper House colleague, Alexey Pushkov, underscored this concern. “It is absolutely unclear how the bill will be implemented,” Pushkov stated. “To control Russian ports, the US will have to introduce a blockade and inspect all ships, which amounts to an act of war.” Pushkov argued that the lopsided 419-1 vote “indicates the nature of the legal and political culture of the US Congress.”

http://worldbeyondwar.org/russia-calls-house-bill-act-war-will-senate-block-h-r-1644/

....one can only hope there are enough adults in the Senate to derail this rank stupidity...

Meanwhile, you go on about 'MSM', but on the other hand see no contradiction in then posting stories from Sputniknews or other news outlets heavily linked to the Russian government, who have a very, very clear stake in Syria and the sarin saga. Strange.
