The Kiwi team is the same four riders who won gold at the recent Oceania championships.

The times do look pretty slow for a track that's 1,000m above sea level versus those of a week ago in Invercargill which is at sea level.

Should be a good race for gold with New Zealand finishing off their heat with a faster last kilo than Australia.

I Hope theyre ok. Did they still manage to finish?

Nope. It was only 500m in so not much point.

Mitchell Mulhern fell at the rear coming into the home straight at the start of the third lap. Australia didn't continue. #trackworldcup
