The guy has never top-10d a big 7 one-week race, not sure what you were expecting of him. What happened to Van welder man . They need to threaten another merger so that he actually gets good and starts attacking.

Second on GC now. To quote a certain poster, great analysis thanks. What happened to Van welder man . They need to threaten another merger so that he actually gets good and starts attacking.
Ajuso was also slow at t1, in my head I thought there is no way you can make up time on the downhill part in rainy weather, but fair play they both did itDecent time, no? Close to Ayuso at T1
Close enough for the title to be in play tomorrow. Adam Yates is 52" behind in GC, so they only have Ayuso to ride for.GC:
Ayuso
Van Wilder +8"
Vlasov +10"
C. Rod. +11"
Martinez +24"
last year he said that he trains on the time trial bike every week.Lenny Martinez is a surprisingly capable TTer for his size. Imo already a more complete rider that freaking Gaudu...
They just have the new Giant Trinity (Plapp was on)...I suspect Jayco needs to revisit their ITT set up as they've struggled in the last 12 months.
Second in GC, what a loser. If only Masnada were here... oh, wait. What happened to Van welder man . They need to threaten another merger so that he actually gets good and starts attacking.
imo it's a tire issue, and going back much longer than that. When it's a wet ITT/TTT, they either suck or crash every time.I suspect Jayco needs to revisit their ITT set up as they've struggled in the last 12 months.
Romain Bardet would break out in hives if that was mentioned to him.last year he said that he trains on the time trial bike every week.
Can’t imagine Ayuso losing thisClose enough for the title to be in play tomorrow. Adam Yates is 52" behind in GC, so they only have Ayuso to ride for.
EDIT: Official GC:
Unlikely indeed, but not impossible, with 3 guys within 11 seconds. All it takes is a small gap in the final 100 meters + 10 boni seconds. I don't get the feeling we are seeing the absolute best Ayuso here, tbh. His TT was good, but not on a different level compared to Vlasov, Rodriguez and Van Wilder. They all finished within 10s and had the same weather conditions. Can’t imagine Ayuso losing this
That’s true, Vlasov seemed good, hopefully they’ll try something but I can imagine UAE trying to smother attacks by setting a high paceUnlikely indeed, but not impossible, with 3 guys within 11 seconds. Doubt it.Ayuso also did 2 Ardennes classics for fun, and its a pretty long spring campaign for him, so no wonder he's getting a bit tired. Still a heavy favorite for tomorrow.
I would be very surprised if it is....
Isn't that a completely average amount for a GC rider
