Tommy Lee is on fire! It looks like he's on one of those roller coaster rides ready for takeoff. Lol
Remember to always treasure your drummer (because Spinal Tap sure didn't)

All the dive bars I had been to in my youth Dead Moon was the only band who had actually put their drummer front and center.

It doesn't show it in this vid, but they always did it when I saw them live in Seattle.

RIP Andy!

One of my favorite dive bars, EZ Ed's, only had an 8' deep stage so the drummer was always front and center! :p

I'm pretty sure that I saw Dead Moon at Outback Jack's in Spokane (pretty good dive bar).

Has anybody on here been to the Toy Tigger in Louisville? Or Bogart's in Cincinnati? Both also pretty good dive bars.

EDIT: The Toy Tiger is no longer, and Bogart's in no longer a dive bar. I haven't lived in that area (Ft. Knox) since 1990 so I didn't know.

I think pretty much all the dive bars I went to in Seattle back in the 90s no longer exist either, they've been replaced by condos. :(

Not sure the lyrics fit, but it still kinda reminds me of this song.

EZ Ed's got condemned in ~'92. I wasn't surprised when I googled and found out that the Toy Tiger had been leveled because it was a dump in the late '80s. Bogart's on the other hand, appears to be a state of the art concert venue now which makes sense due to its location near a university. I'm going to google around so more tonight and see what happened to some of my other favorites.

I googled the places I used to live when going to school in Seattle including my dorm, it no longer exists! You know you're old when even your own dorm is no longer deemed suitable for today's youth. 🤣

It's sort of weird how big a factor radio was, there is a real struggle going on..91X a station established in 1983,84 was the outlet for alternative, new wave and they would do not so subtle programming changes start heavily playing certain bands and leading up to live performances in the area, sadly often Los Angeles..
There were only 4,5 places in San Diego and a couple in Tijuana, Iguanas being pretty famous.. Saw Red Hot Chilli Peppers in Mexico and at the Casbah in San Diego,
Jane's Addiction was a Southern California frequenter. A long lost band that seems to have faded into oblivion.. Oingo Boingo who seemed like they played at Irvine Meadows ampatheater all the time. Stray Cats and Social Distortion also very easy to see back in the day. 91X has gone back to original format, probably trying not to go out of business, I enjoy hearing old songs

Lots of great bands of yesteryear mentioned in your post, Oingo Boingo's album Boi-Ngo was one of my faves back in the 80s!

Agree Vince Neil looks like he could lose a few pounds, and Tommy Lee and Nikki Sixx look like they fully lived the rock-n-roll lifestyle. Eh, at least they are still alive! lol

I've never been to a Crue concert (or any other big arena concert except for INXS and Lollapalooza back when Michael Hutchence and Layne Staley were both still alive)... I think Crue always had dancing girls, except they looked more raunchy and more like strippers back in the 80s? The current crop, while still sexy and sexually suggestive, seems a lot more coordinated and professional. (It's almost like I'm watching a Madonna video and I expect them to break into vogueing at any moment, or something like that. 🤣)
People said that he looked heavy in this video...little did they know what was coming!
