Milan San Remo, March 21, 2026, 298 km monument

Well, question is if he may stay away next year. I kind of hope it, so the sprinters can get their monument back.

Milan San Remo, March 21, 2026, 298 km monument

Translation from a recent feltet.dk article: "It is rare that Pedersen starts in a one-day-race where he is not among the biggest favorites. But for Saturday's marathon classic, he is lowering expectations slightly. It's first and foremost about being back in the peloton, according to...

Teams & Riders Jonas Vingegaard thread: Love in Iberia

The biggest winning margin stage was not the Uchon stage, but the next one where Jonas gapped nr 2 with more than 2 minutes. I think it is safe to say that this was in large part his own performance that made the difference. Interestingly, the estimated power numbers from this year's Paris Nice...

Kind of lost its excitement after Jonas took his 2nd stage, but it wouldn't surprise me if the stage to Uchon will eventually be a top 5 best stage of the year.

Dani Martinez has both the worst and the best teammates at the same time.

Question Which races will Pogacar win during his career?

I voted for all three, but it is with a bit of hesitance. I agree that Vuelta is a certainty whenever he decides to ride it. Milano - San Remo is also still possible even if it hasn't quite worked out the last couple of years. But last year he was oh so close to dropping MVDP. Also, UAE could...

Nice to see the veterans of the sport can still battle for the big wins with Valgren and Alafpolak in the front. 2018-19 revisited

Teams & Riders Jonas Vingegaard thread: Love in Iberia

Good to see Vingo back on top again today. I'd sworn years ago that I would never be a Vingo fan but he is slowly winning me over. This is partly due to the fact that he has become so overshadowed by Pog and the new generation of potential superstars. And secondly, I also think the guy has a...

Quite nice to see Waistband up there today. Is this his first race of the season?

Yes, he was only 3 bike lengths behind mvdp... Thank goodness Christen was closed down, even if Wout blew himself. Hero of the day.

How much riding did you do this year, and at what power?

Not all on the trainer (maybe 30.000 km) and I will also take occasional rest days. But 5-6 hour days on the trainer is not uncommon. I find that social rides with friends or family on Zwift make it easier. Of course a bit of mental toughness is required to make it a routine to get up 5am in the...

How much riding did you do this year, and at what power?

In 2025, I rode approx. 39.000 km, 1050 hours and averaged 245w. A bit less than last year. FWIW, most of it was indoor riding and zone 2 + zone 3 stuff. I have probably lost the ability to really go really deep, so I don't implement much intensity above threshold in my indoor training nowadays...

Vuelta a España Rate the 2025 Vuelta a España

The Giro was actually pretty good this year compared to how bad 2023 and 2024 were. The Tour was again a foregone conclusion and in my opinion by far the worst GT of the year. At least the Vuelta was exciting on rare occasions (albeit often for the wrong reasons), and the ITT gave slight hopes...

Well, except Wout celebrated thinking he'd won. A mistake Mads would never make.
