Teams & Riders Everybody needs a little bit of Roglstomp in their lives

There's been some good signs in recent days, but really he could be anything from 3rd to 10th best climber when the chips are down. Today we find out. If he can hang with Remco I'll be very happy as I think he will improve as the race goes on. If he can't, I won't be that disappointed if he...

Teams & Riders The Big 6

There's a big 2 at the moment, Pogacar and MVDP. Jonas and Remco are out due to injury struggles. Roglic is out due to being off the pace in Algarve. Wout just isn't winning enough. All of those that are out have the potential to re-join, but this is the current situation. You don't get to...

Teams & Riders Everybody needs a little bit of Roglstomp in their lives

Roglic doesn't seem to have the endurance for the monuments and doesn't seem to care enough about the one day races to be in absolute top form for them. When he does do races like LBL, GDL, AGR, it's sort of sad to see him languishing at the back of groups, hoping for others to close gaps for...

Glad I missed the race live and knew the result when I watched the replay, otherwise I'd have no fingernails left.

But I guess he wants to be able to say he went up against two of the best riders of all time while they were in their peak and at the biggest event. Maybe the best he'll do is 3rd, but at least he'll know and it won't be a question that haunts him in retirement. "Grandpa, what was it like...

Interesting to get confirmation that Suisse is actually a goal. Sometimes you don't know if things like that are just what fans care about or if the rider themself cares about it. Also, 3 GTs in a season could be interesting - wonder if that will be next year! :)

Things are developing well for Roglic. Friday looks perfect for him to take red and even gain a little time on Mas. But it could all unravel on Saturday. Someone is going to go for a raid and I don't have much faith in his team controlling it.

I wasn't expecting that. At best I thought he'd finish with Mas. Very much a pleasant surprise and one of his best all time performances.

Teams & Riders Everybody needs a little bit of Roglstomp in their lives

If Roglic is in Vuelta '21 sort of form and Ben O'Conner is slightly worse than the Giro (due to 2nd GT of the season) then it might be doable. But that's a big IF. All the talk leading up to the race was that Roglic had not been able to train much due to the injury and is still suffering from...

Teams & Riders Everybody needs a little bit of Roglstomp in their lives

Let's be real here - he looked terrible yesterday. It's not all about the team and positioning. He watched his main rivals ride up the road on a flat asphalt section without even flinching. At the end he looked on the verge of dropping off the back of the group when there weren't even any...

Tour de France Tour de France 2024, Stage 3: Plaisance (Piacenza) > Turin (Torino), 230.8 km

I can't believe Pogacar let Carapaz escape to get the yellow jersey. This is Giro '19 all over again :P

Who do you WANT to win the 2024 Tour de France?

Now that we know that @Sandisfan is on the Roglic hype-train, there is nothing stopping him! Nibali's bag is coming home.

Winning the Tour would be the chef's kiss. Sorry, I'll get my coat.

This would be pretty worrying if true. The whole team having an issue with stamina doesn't seem like the kind of thing that can be fixed in a couple of weeks.

Tour de France 2024 - The battle of the big 4

At least Basso had the common decency to descend poorly.
