Roglic looks so lean still at age 35. He seems to be build like Valverde, not slowing down with age and putting guys 15 younger to his sword. He really looks the bizz too, with both his outfit / helmet and bike: imho one of the best looking outfits / bikes / riders in the 2025 peloton; everything seems to be so well matched - a pleasure to see Roglic riding like this!

Roglic has now 11 wins in the big 7 one week stageraces.

Paris Nice 1 x 2022
Tirenno Adriatico 2 x 2019, 2023
Catalonia 2 x 2023, 2025
Itzulia 2 x 2018, 2021
Romandie 2 x 2018, 2019
Dauphine 2 x 2022, 2024

Is there any rider in the last 30 years who has more wins than him in these races.

No, I'm quite sure Sean Kelly is the only rider with more wins in this set of races.

Ah, I thought of the spots for the OGTT probably.

Results from OGTT 2024:
1: Remco Evenepoel (Bel)
2: Filippo Ganna (Ita)
3: Wout van Aert (Bel)

Then again, some countries might only have one spot where you'd expect them to have two. Country places for major championships is a jungle my life is too short to ever fully get the handle on.

I mean those spots are based on previous championships, and Evenepoel was the reigning ITT World Champ.

Pretty sure there was a lot of discussion which of Pogacar or Roglic should race the Olympic ITT in 2021, even on this forum*, but I don't know if it's the exact same for the Worlds as for the Olympics.

*I may or may not have been saying adamantly that betting against Roglic was free money

Slovenia only had 1 spot, I think they needed a top-10 in the 2023 WCTT to get a second spot.

If he doesn't do the Vuelta, then the end of season races could be better negotiated than usual (without the usual post Vuelta inevitable form slump), i.e. I'm talking something like Lombardia in particular. But yeah, the Worlds and European championships could also be interesting.

Although at this point I believe Rog is all in on his main objectives aka GT's.

I just realized, i.e. yesterday's Catalunya attack was the successful implementation of that famous Vuelta 2021 stage 10 'no risk no glory' attack-crash.

Cat 2 climb, 20km or thereabouts from the finish, 20 second gap or so over the chasers... Spain as well. Yep, very similar.

I only just realised that the last stage was the only one he rode with the jersey for the points classification. I'm counting that as a Froglic, so of course his superpowers were activated.
It's a pretty cool looking jersey imo
