I gave it a 9. This Giro had pretty well everything, dramatic unexpected collapses and thankfully no significant crashes. The weather was really kind and the scenery was spectacular apart from maybe stages 2 and 3 in Israel. I also enjoyed the extended coverage on Eurosport...no more waiting for...

Matthews needs to win the next 3 intermediate sprints, which is doable and a very high placing today to have a realistic chance of winning the green jersey. However, that still leaves 2 flat stages to be contested. Of course, Matthews best chance is if Kittel is OTL on one of the 2 mountain...

Just curious, so Uran gets a 20 second penalty but is allowed to keep his bonus seconds and mountain points? What happens in one day races if someone gets an illegal feed and wins the race? Are there different rules in place? Pete

I rarely post in here, but usually read through the comments to have a good laugh after I've watched the stage. But today I have to say that the trolling, rider insults and pure hatred has reached an all time low. The moderators on here really need to get a grip and stamp this sort of vile...
