    Don't think "scared" is the right term. But when you get beaten again and again in the world's biggest race, it's human nature to lack the courage to try again. Nothing to be ashamed of. The fact is deep down inside we're all cowards anyway.

    I don't understand this debate. Neutralized stages which still produces a winner happen frequently. The reason you don't cancel it altogether is because at least host city still gets the show of seeing the riders.

    Of course a time trial is not a race. Not only would a 100km TTT be unbroadcastable, there maybe like, what, 6 nations max that would bother entering the competition?

    Not sure why anyone would complain about ITTs. Bookended so they don't interfere with the real racing and reduce the ceremonial stages by excluding a Madrid sprint.

    Sporza/VRT is free, as are RAI, CT Sport (Czech Rep) and TVP (Poland). The last 3 don't even require registration.
