    Easton R4SL Hubs (EA90SLX)

Mike- I have had the same problems with these wheels as well. I brought them in hopes they would be as good as my old velomax wheels. Bearings are toast after any sort of mild contact with water, the preload adjusters always loosen. The hubs stink. Do yourself a favor and ditch them on ebay.

tubeless tires - prevent flats question

I believe you will be very happy with the new set up. I run dura ace tubeless. I run kalfee laytex in mine. I also cary a spare tube with me. Just treat it as a normal clincher if you flat. FYI I have yet to flat in any crappy weather rides all winter/spring. The real benefit comes from...

Why are derailleur hangers so soft?

Maybe it has nothing to do with the hanger then...It might be the ultegra sl on the seven vs. the latest ultegra on the ridley.. I was more thinking one piece vs. bolt on. I know it's not the spacing on the rear as a swap out the same set of handbuilts(;))between the two bikes, and have them...

Why are derailleur hangers so soft?

Another area we have been fooled on by the big bike makers of the world. My 2009 ridley damoclies shifting sucks in comparison to my steel framed seven. Crash the seven, send back, have new hanger WELDED on. Not an option for the the carbon frame. Yes I can replace the hanger, but shifting...

    New Heartrate/Cadence/power/GPS COMPUTER

I love garmin, super easy to navigate, no sensors on the bike or wheel magnets to deal with, moves between bikes super easy. I also have paired mine up with a SRM worked perfect from day one. If you don't need the maps get the edge 500 all the info, least expensive. Besides you get maps once...

Ritchey TI break a way as only bike?

I am hoping to go to Europe for the first time next year. It has been a dream of mine to ride there. I believe the ritchey could be the perfect bike for the trip, but I just can't afford or justify having two road machines. Has anyone here used this bike as there sole road rig? I ride a few...

    (Potentially) basic fit/form question

Try taking an old inner tube around a table leg and do leg extensions. I had the same thing happen to me and a pretty famous team doctor(yes pro tour, yes I had the chance so I asked, uncool? A little, but saved me a trip to the doc's) had me do this, three times a week, three sets of 20...

    How many train with power?

No excuse, trained without a power meter for years. My coach recommended one. And it has not made me a GT rider. But has helped push me from cat 3 to cat 2.

    How many train with power?

Yes actually!:DI travel between sea level and 5500ft some times 3 times a month a 5 to 6 days at a clip. Heart rate moves all over. Cracks me up- yes it was pricey, but I know lots of people who drop lots more on new whatever light carbon wonder pro product thinking it might make them faster...

    How many train with power?

Best piece of gear you can buy to actually make you faster. But be warned, you need to follow the numbers and hit the zones or it's a waist of money. Have had my SRM for six months and can't say enough good things. Also if you are spending the money get at least a proper Lactate Threshold test...
