    The Caleb Ewan Thread

Ewan was betting pro's in the bay crits when he was still learning to shave, you knew that he would one day be racing for the Green. all he really needs from a mentor like Gerro is how to conserve energy over a long stage, who to watch and follow and someone to stop him burning himself out too...

    2013 Giro D'Italia 04/05 - 26/05

I think the big difference is his mental state. 2012 he was fully supported by Sky, and everything went his way including the TdF parcours, whilst his rivals seem to be short on luck. This year, the parcours doesn't suit him, his rivals are stronger than he would have expected and he hasn't...

    Cadel Evans Discussion Thread

+1 He certainly is a confidence rider and he is perfectly placed for a podium finish. Lets hope Astana burns too many matches trying to control the race and Cadel can sneak some bonus points in wk 3 for a chance at a win.

    Four Corners on Lance Armstrong

i think O'Grady is clean. his wins on the track don't match up with his road career. If he was on the gear I'd expect more wins. Robbie is another I think is clean. I take him to be a very straight shooter and in his book he openly talks about the 2speed peloton. He and LA didn't get along...

When is the last time you smelled your bar tape?

That's what I use after most rides. I have white bar tape and keep a bottle of water with a hint of dishwashing liquid and clean rag in the garage. my bar tape still looks white after nearly 4 years. btw...only started doing this after my LBS mechanic told me off for lettings my bar tape...

    Annoying feeling during cycling

Look up cleat wedges and buy yourself a set. These come with longer screws. http://www.bikefit.com/c-1-cleat-wedges.aspx These will allow you to do two things; 1. Add spacers on the shorter side (right side by your description?) to make up the difference. Ask your Chiro to tell you how...

    Morning heart rate

If you feeling tired on those days then it's probably not the best day to do your intense workouts. it would be more effective to do hard work outs when your well rested and use your early days for low intensity active recovery rides.

2013 Jayco Herald Sun Tour - January 3rd to 6th

Goss has a way of getting up for the races he targets so I wouldn't be suprised if he podium's. The Bay crits are an awesome event, and dam fast. Great way for our local's to mix it up with the pro's.

2013 Santos Tour Down Under: 20th Jan - 27th Jan

I'd be interested in hearing how many people make it there. I went to the TDU the first year LA made it and hill was packed. I think it's a great event that lets you get so close to some of the biggest names in cycling.

2013 Santos Tour Down Under: 20th Jan - 27th Jan

I agree and think that they can continue to build on the sucess, hopefully despite the fact the Matt White isn't there. I think another Monument is possible as well as a podium in a classic. Remember Goss did not have a good year, Bobridge was focusing on the track and Meyer and Durbridge...
