Teams & Riders Pogačar as GOAT: already, never, or when?

Palmarès matters when having GOAT conversations obviously. There is also the matter of comparing Merckx's full career to Pogi at 26. In my view, Merckx's palmarés is totally impossible to reach in the modern era. It is also true that Pogi is the most impressive rider I've seen in all my years...

    86th Tour de Suisse (2.UWT) // June 11th - 18th 2023

This was the exact finish from the 2013 stage Rui Costa won. I didn't look it up but Portet d'Aspet is unlikelier to have been used as a final descent for the fact that the bigger stage finish towns are a further climb away or just further away. It's dozens of races every year, hundreds of...

    Vuelta a España 2022: Pre-race discussion/hype tread

Man, the PT jihad is about to have a field day with this, because there is absolutely zero chance Ayuso is going to the Vuelta to work for anyone. Same with Soler. I honestly think Soler has nothing on João. Not quite so sure about Ayuso. I suppose we'll see.

    Giro d'Italia 2021 Giro d'Italia, Stage 21: Senago – Milano 30.3 km ITT

Ganna is just so dominant...I'm not even sure Cancellara was so dominant as he is right now. Then again Spartacus had a bunch of other skills in his arsenal, while being the best TTer in the world...

    João Almeida - Bota Lume

This kind of bullcrap is inexcusable. João would do good to get rid of this so-called 'agent' as soon as possible.

Teams & Riders The Remco Evenepoel is the next Eddy Merckx thread

I am indeed Portuguese, and have nothing but support for JA. He's the best PT cycling prospect since at least Rui Costa and he gives me hope of someday seeing a Portuguese GT winner. I honestly had some beef with DQS prior to the Giro due to the mixed signals coming from them - e.g., naming him...

Teams & Riders The Remco Evenepoel is the next Eddy Merckx thread

Look, I was following this on Eurosport PT...And we've all honestly been curious about what JA would do after last year's Masnada debacle (it really is a running joke at this point), so I was pretty focused on seeing what was happening between those two on the road. So what I saw all the while...

    New Jerseys - 2020 Season - TeamKits-Maillots-Tricots-Tenues

Honestly? It actually makes the Lidl logo work. It looks out of place on the actual jersey (and has for years), but it doesn't look as bad this way. Also love the couture-style list of locations on the front, though it really should be "SANREMO" instead of "MILAN" if we're being consistent... :P...

82nd Volta a Portugal em Bicicleta (27th of September - 5th of October)

The local news report made it sound worse. Then again, CM is basically the The Sun so...Joke's on me for taking them seriously. Glad he's okay. So the best-designed stage of the Volta is done and dusted. Sad to see the waste that are the final two road stages. I could probably work out 100...

    Le Tour 2018 stage 17: BDL to Saint-Lary-Soulan 65k

Don't think we can doubt G anymore. I thought he'd crack harder than Froome today but can't see it happening. He's taking it to Paris.
