    Team Ineos Discussion thread

Today 4 of their graduates all beat Rodriguez. How sad is that. They were in such a panic to keep him

The way it’s going, Sonny Cobrelli would beat him out for GC

You wouldn’t expect that to make any difference at all in a time trial, Nat make you come in at the end of the pack

Tour de France 2020 | Stage 15 (Lyon - Grand Colombier, 174.5 km)

Looks like Brailsford messed up this time around. The way GT is riding in TA suggests he would have been a useful plan B at the Tour. Now they have nothing

Teams & Riders Chris Froome Discussion Thread.

Sky will want Froome to attack and gain big time. The nightmare scenario for them is Thomas having his usual “jour sans” and dropping out of contention, then Dumoulin gaining 30 sec on Froome in ITT and winning. They need to have Froome 90-120 sec ahead of TD to insure that one of their riders...

Lets Call The Whole Thing Off......

The plot thickens: "If you see someone with a bike looking like this – they may also be wearing a red and white polka dot hat and carrying a large green cardboard hand with the letters PMU on it – please let us, Team Saxo Bank, or possibly better still the Belgian or French police know as...

Lets Call The Whole Thing Off......

Don't think including this in the TdF was unreasonable, but it ended up that way. Andy Scleck fell avoiding a motorbike that was avoiding the sliding Gavassi. Hincapie fell twice in 300 meters. Armstrong described it as "ice." Seems fair and noble to let everyone catch up when virtually all...

Thanks for the reminder. How many team mates helped Zabel back then? Riis probably didn't need much help;)

    Denver Post reporting...

Supporting Tyler Farrar in the sprints would seem to be at odds with Contador's stated goal of 100% support for him. Can't recall a team offhand that has won GC and field sprints in a modern Tour; I think it would be difficult to do.

    Not just Lemond is suspicious

The past few grand Tours have been harsh in this regard. That's why purportedly objective measures of the limits of performance like VAM are attractive for putting things in perspective for the uncertain fan. The list at sportscientists.com seems to be self-validating when you look at who made...

    Not just Lemond is suspicious

I agree with those in other threads who discount Lemond's suspicion of Contador's performances in this Tour because of Lemond's long history of "I have the highest VO2 Max, and everyone else must be a doper" and so forth. But other analyses of his performance on Verbier also raise...
