I'll readily admit, that I've never been much of a Cavendish fan - mostly due to my dislike for coordinated sprint stages, but I actually think that he will get a number of surprising wins the coming season. And with surprising wins, I am thinking of less straight sprint wins, and more "classic"...

Re: He didn't ride well in the Tour of Denmark. Of course it is not as prestigious to win, but he was in the lead and threw the victory away. It could have been due to poor tactics from Astana though. He was left quite a bit to his own devices.

Good OP. I am looking forward to this race. It brings quite a bit of excitement, as opposed to many other shorter stage races. Will Eurosport broadcast?
