Actually Velonews played a large part in getting Michael Rasmussen thrown out of the 2007 TDF. Remember their whole Whitney Richards story. Yeah they did their part in riling everyone up. The thought that an "american" might not win that year must have been too much for them.

What is special about those crashes? I don't see the bikes spinning on the ground like Hesjedal's?

The problem seems to be mainly with the english speaking riders. Guess they are spending too much time in wind tunnels or doing tests instead of actual racing on the road and so they can't handle their bike. Everyone else should be allowed to contest if they want to.

You know if AC had lost time on stage 8, you definitely would have told us that it wasn't his type of climb and to wait for the real mountains. When AC couldn't follow on stage 7 Joaquim Rodriguez and Rujano didn't seem to have any problem closing the gap and that finish doesn't exactly suit...

Not at all. I still think he looked like a slow turtle on the gravel stage and the mountain stage. Unless he has also learned to time travel he won't be able to prove me wrong. On the mountain stage Contador would have lost time if some one else hadn't come through and closed the gap. So...

McQuaid and Contador For years McQuaid has been telling us that Contador is a clean rider. Now that he has been proven correct by the spanish federation you would think he would be happy right? But no.. he wants to appeal. Tell me, how does that make sense? :confused:
