Tbh I don't think you can easily find a stronger trio than Vermeersch, Hagenees and Abrahamsen on the flat. They are 80kg powerhouses

He rode alone with (mostly) headwind for 60km. He said the part between the Boigneberg the Paterberg really broke him because of the headwind. The chasing group was also really strong. We musn't forget that this is a 200km race where the last 30km are flat. Im not too worried about his shape...

It's true unfortunately. Christoph Roodhooft just said this in Nieuwsblad. The sickness hasn't totally left his body yet, but he has been training. The recuperation just isn't going that well

Baloise Belgium Tour 2023 (June 14-18)

Lmao. Acceleration merchant... You looked at the motor pacing the second group today? And he never did have that big of a lead in the BB tour. Also, there were pretty big watts chasing him there.

Again with the flatline. When has he ever flatlined for longer periods without a good reason?

    State of Peloton 2023

A tailwind of 29km/u perhaps and basically a big leadout towards his final burst. And ofcourse better equipment, training and ketones

    State of Peloton 2023

"Naturally, he's done diddly squat in an ITT since." Uhm... He's ridden 4 itt's since then -> 2nd and 3rd in the 2022 Giro, 5th in the 2022 Tour and 15th in this year's Tirreno "He has massive peaks & then vanishes entirely for large parts of the season." When does he vanish for large parts...
