    Giro d'Italia 2018: Stage 20: Susa - Cervinia, 214 KM

Usually Froome isn't feeling too well when he's constantly going out of his saddle

    Contador vs. Froome

I do agree that normally Froome should've lost more time on the last climb, but by the way the chasers rode up to that point I was expecting that they wouldn't made any major inroads into his advantage, if he didn't crack completely. After all, Lopez was dropped on the Finestre, Doumoulin looked...

    Contador vs. Froome

I wasn't referring on the climbers currently in this race, I was referring to hypothetical climbers like Quintana, Nibali (when in form). Besides MAL no one in the "chasing" group wasn't considered before a pure, top tier climber - although that is of course subjective and depending on each...

    Contador vs. Froome

If Carapaz was able to gain 30 seconds with a short push in 500m imagine how much a better climber would've gained going all out from farther down. Froome climbed Jafferau in the same time with Doumoulin, who should be a worse climber than he is and who did almost the same amount of work as he...

    Giro d'Italia 2018 stage 19: Venaria Reale – Jafferau 184km

Re: Re: Now why would Pinot ride against Doumoulin? At that point he was about 4 minutes behind him in the GC, only if Doumoulin would blew up completely he would've had a chance to make up that deficit. Pinot did the sensible thing to do, rode for 3rd place instead of gambling for second.

    Giro d'Italia 2018 stage 19: Venaria Reale – Jafferau 184km

This was indeed an epic stage, Froome took an all or nothing gamble and had the luck that all the pieces in the puzzle fell in the right place for him. Yates blowing up early on the Finestre, the only teammate for any of the chasers left was at a small distance behind so it somehow made sense...

2013 Tour de France, stage 20: Annecy - Annecy / Annecy - Semnoz 125 km

He would have to distance any two of these three to get on the podium: Contador (by at least 47''), Quintana (by at least 26'') or Kreuziger (by at least 14''). So if it's easy to distance Kreuziger, I can't see Purito dropping Quintana or putting 50'' into Contador.

Lucien Aimar, 1966 TDF winner. Only managed to finish 6th and 7th afterwards. For the best, Ullrich, no doubt.

Nieve is 1' 41'' behind Kwiatkowski, guess it's possible for him to outclimb all three of them by around two minutes.

Looking forward tommorow to the battle for the 10th place. Kwiatkowski, Ten Dam and Talanski have only 16 seconds between them.

    Tennis

To be honest, in other sources, Federer is quoted differently. He doesn't sound like a cyclist from the Armstrong years when he says that he wasn't blood tested at all after the Australian Open and when he calls for the introduction of the blood passport...
