Sorry I didn't post the following (didn't seem like many were interested in this post), but NYVelocity hosted a podcast most similar to last year with Moore, Friebos, and Anthony Tan after that first one/two on Moore's web site. The three did eight for NYV and they were pretty quality. If you go...
Thanks for the quick response, Dan. Yes, indeed, it's a shame as we miss it, but the video features on the site are also more than welcome. Thanks for those additions, and I look forward to the podcasts again later this year then.
Yeah, you've got be right on that. I actually said that in the post that Barrus quoted above, then edited my post because I wasn't sure for a moment, and now you've convinced me again.
This whole forum eruption today with all the did he/didn't he, should he/shouldn't he is really clouding my...
Yes, I apologize for this. It's partly my fault, as it appears I had the setting on where one person can vote for multiple options. Adding up the number of votes (105) and comparing it to the number of voters thus far (96) shows that apparently 9 multiple options were chosen. Sorry about the...
I'll mention this one last time and then just quit trying: If you want to contribute to the most fruitful discussion on the matter, go to http://forum.cyclingnews.com/showthread.php?t=8900. Not like you absolutely can't post here, but you'll enter the greater dialogue over there.
It's time to vote, everyone! I tried to assemble the options from the most popular opinions from the discussion thread on the matter (also see the thread for various video links of the incident): http://forum.cyclingnews.com/showthread.php?t=8900
I cannot believe how many of you people keep saying Schleck had a "mechanical." Give me a break! He dropped his chain. His fault. Are you seriously saying AC is at fault because he wouldn't wait for AS to learn how to shift properly?
I don't agree with comparisons to Armstrong/Ullrich/Hamilton on Luz Ardiden in 2003 as that was a crash. Dropping your chain is a total amateur move. Not a mechanical.
I do agree, however, that the pistol shot on the podium was inappropriate. In fact, the pistol shot anytime is inappropriate...
Sorry, just one more thing this morning and then I'll shut up. A quick question about Lance not having a minute to answer questions for CyclingNews (the audio clip you played in Stage 12's podcast): Think he heard about the episode where Friebe mentions Benson saying, first thing in the morning...
I hear you on the inconsistency then. I'm not trying to convince you to like the podcast or anything with what I'm going to say next—in fact, I think much moreso I'm just trying to answer my own question of why I'm enjoying it—but I wonder if we're divided on the podcast because of the sort of...
