No Contador on your list? Thought you heavily disliked him

What did Piepoli do btw?

past: Armstrong, Chiappucci, RIjs (incidentally, all three follow the zero to hero to zero pattern)

current riders: Gerrans, Voeckler, Majka

bonus category: current DS - so that Rijs can double score (Brailsford and Vaughters complete the podium)

Tom Dumoulin

I'm not that old so mostly modern riders though two of them made it based only on what I read about them in history. Also, two of them are guilty pleasures :p

 :D

Yeah I have ambivalent feelings towards Vinokourov :D

Maybe, to use the distinction that you introduced, he's on my list of riders that I like as a rider and he is in my list of riders that I dislike as a person :p

Is this the riders you don't like or the people you don't like thread? Got to know before I contribute.

well... the subject says "riders", I have no idea what more I could have done to make it clear :)

I am very surprised that Alberto Contador is mentioned equally with Froome! Shall we make a poll?
Alaphillipe is indeed not very likeable, he seems to lack something - dunno if it's intelligence or humility, but something's missing there - it could be only a look though and he could be a nice person. Something that's not the case with Vinokourov for example. I'm positively surprised by the fact he gets to be mentioned, I thought this forum has some Vino.love.disease.

I would like to fill-in Lance Armstrong, but it would be a hypocrisy - as a teenager I was a big fan - to defend myself I must say I didn't have any clue about any other races than TdF and about pre-Amstrong cycling. When LA retired I gradually found out that cycling can be much more interesting :)

Lance, Froome and Wiggins are the riders i genuinely hate. The others i mainly dislike mainly based on their riding style and their degree of lies and involvement in the infamous era.

My line up in order.

Armstrong
Froome
Wiggins
Leipheimer
Gerrans
Hincapie
Riis
Ekimov
Porte
Kittel

Just Outside top 10- Terpstra, Cav, Gadret,Menchov

Contador. I love all other cyclists but he is an overhyped narcissist constantly lying to the media and inevitably portrayed as anything/everything other than a washed up former star that was merely a product of Bruyneel's genius like 8 years ago I cant even remember back that far.

Froome - ugly riding style. Mendacious. Can't abide the BS, nor the fake self-effacing 'meekness'.
Armstrong - Bully. Utter douche. Totally killed cycling for me for years. Weirdly feel a bit sorry for him these days coz of the inconsistency of his pariah status with that of his contemporaries some of whom are making a nice career for themselves on the back of their doping..which bring me to
David Millar - that whole redemption narrative and the pseudishness, I find intolerable. Good commentator, though.
Schlecklet - Seemed to think his talent was enough without working; unendurably whiny.
Cipo - loved himself so much I felt it my duty to loathe him in equal amounts in an attempt to redress the balance.
VdBroeck. Don't even no why. Totally irrational hatred.

looooooooong gap:

Porte, Thomas, Yates, Martin almost any Anglophone (particularly at Sky, and I suspect, Team DD may get that way in future) - Embodiments of the Commentator's Curse - that I find my dislike increases in direct proportion to the amount of fawning adulation they receive from commentators. Cav. suffered from this in the past for me, and I like him far better after he's been 'written-off'. Also, because even though he can be petulant, think he's a least passionate about cycling. Sagan is probably the only rider I still actively like despite the commentator's apparently worshipping him as a near-deity.
Vino - Corrupt to the core. Redeemed slightly by the fact he's a plain dealing villain.

I dislike Contador very much, but it's super hard to get in my list and his racing scores him some minus points.
What did Piepoli do btw?
Being bald and having a surname that sounds too silly to me, mostly.

As I said, it's super hard to get in my list!
