100th Tre Valli Varesine (October 5th, 2021)

The Italian autumn continues just down the road from today's race in Legnano with the centenary edition of Tre Valli Varesine.

Similar to previous years, with one ascent of Casbeno on the run-in, eight laps with Montello (not that one) and Casbeno, and then two 8-shaped laps with Montello, Morosolo, Casciago and Casbeno. Here's the profiles and maps of these circuits:

The finish is projected to be a little before 5pm. The weather should be awful again, so the odds of good coverage are pretty slim once more. Annoyingly, it isn't on Eurosport either this year, RAI start at 3pm.

Probably got to lean towards Pogacar here if he's any bit in form (which he has not been). Outside of him, Covi has a shot again, Woods will be dangerous and Nibali is on form and it's wet.
