Race is probably being decided in the descent, then Basso shouldve worn Gilbert out, not Nibs imho.

I've been thinking that. But Basso isn't an explosive type so I just can't see him winning.

From my experience last year, Nibali is by far and away the Italian's favorite rider. When he fell in the descent last year people weren't believing in a win anymore, even though Scarponi was still there.

Always love seeing the tolling bells.

1'20. 45 kms. 20 flat and a terribly steep climb of around 5kms. I don't think he can do it, but I'd love it if he could. Go Vincenzo!
