You're the 3rd person to say this. Is there something about him that bothers you? (curious)

because I know so little about him and he was not considered a favourite is why I don't know how to feel about it all.

He dropped some of the big guy's on the final climb of the day. I'm more than fine with his win. Why Gilbert and Cancellara have to split the monuments beetween them is beyond me.

Zaugg is a very average guy winning a monument. That's it, basically.

He's been a great climbing domestique for a long time. It's not too different to if Szmyd had won on Mont Ventoux without Valverde being there. He had ability, but had never really ridden for himself. In a one-day race it's a lot easier to get a surprise winner too, of course.

That was my first reaction, but he won it fair and square. JVS got a gift, Goss got a partial gift, but Zaugg has won this fair and square with a proper attack and won by being the best man on the day.

Taking out Gilbert - this year there have been many
unexpected wins in the Classics.

Also only the second classic after MSR that isn't won by a Belgian. Talk about globalizing the sport, the oldest cycling breed in the world are still owning like never before :p

Harmon saying no-one can ever take this win away from Zaugg.

We'll leave that to the clinic.
