So they're doing a mixed team presentation, which makes sense since there are quite a few men's teams with some ties to a women's team, but it looks poor when the teams are so far apart they can't even agree on a mutual dress code.

Well, the FDJ teams might be a bad example, as they're not a shared organisation.

Arkea is much more streamlined:

I know, but even Israel and Roland Cogeas were both wearing their racing kits.
In this case the men's jogging suit is also simply bad. Black is just not the colour of FdJ. They should have worn their rain kits instead.

So no Mathieu, no Tadej, no Primoz.

Evenepoel better not win or we'll never hear the end of it how he won LBL only because there was no competition.

If Evenpoel would win then likely it would be by a signature move. Hard to argue against that.

P.S. Or maybe he can join van Aert and Moho and to work for van Aert.

With Pog out there's 2 very strong teams that might be expected to want a very aggressive and chaotic race.

Still I don't expect Bahrain or UAE to go super crazy.

Van Aert has got to fancy his chances, under several scenarios no matter whether he's in a small group, alone or part of a bigger bunch at the finish.

Nah. If they were all there and he won, it would be because they were not trying since LBL is just a preparation race for them.

Are Alpecin and Plantur also part of the same team?

Both shampoos are made by the same company (and barring a bit of perfume are the same product),

I don't know how Belgian addresses are structured, but the team managements seem to have identical addresses in 2 neighbouring towns according to UCI site

Both teams from the brothers Roodhooft

Yes, as others have already explained.

Just like the Alpecin-Fenix men's team, PP was set up as a road team for the cross riders from the teams owned by the Roodhooft brothers (Alpecin-Fenix, IKO Crelan and 777), but now they also have some non-cross riders like Laura Süßemilch, who is the fith woman in the German pursuit team on the track, Imogen Cotter and Christina Schweinberger.

Three teams have two potential winners. They should dominate the race and make it selective:

  • Quick-Step: Alaphilippe, Evenepoel
  • Bahrain: Mohoric, Teuns
  • Ineos: Martinez, Kwiatkowski

Two teams have one strong leader who could win in a sprint. They should ride more conservatively.

  • Jumbo: Van Aert
  • Movistar: Valverde
Finally there are a bunch of outsiders from other teams: Vlasov, Bardet, Fuglsang, Nibali, Mollema, Hirschi, Barguil, Madouas, Cosnefroy... They should try to get away before the RaF while the others think it's too early. It's a pretty open race without a clear top favourite.

I think for teams like Bora and UAE it is better to make the race very hard with Bahrain/Ineos/Quickstep. Also I think Valverde is not that likely to win a sprint anymore..

Bahrain have a ludicrously strong team. In theory, enough to control the race now that so many of the obvious favourites are missing or looking a bit under-powered. But at the same time. it's difficult to se how they'd win unless Teuns or Mohoric somehow escape with some Evenepoel/Hirschi/Vlasov? As everyone has said, it's such an open race. Just really hoping that there isn't a bunch sprint of 20-30 riders.

My outside/fanboy pick is Bardet.
