ok..I don't want to slog through the whole thread---does anyone have info on live video coverage in the US besides VERSUS?

I was on steephill.tv and looks like most is geo-restricted, but I'm pretty sure there must be something available. We usually can get a sporza or rai feed, but who has updated info?

I noticed that and it worries me as well. We'll probably just need to see what others on the forum have found once the live broadcasts begin. And I'm guessing we'll have to jump around as some streamed get closed down. Ugh, I don't want to watch this on a versus replay.

Have no fears, we will have options. Even if everything breaks down for the US (it won't), we can do a proxy server in a geo restricted country and watch anyway. A guy I ride with was talking about watching it tomorrow night in a bar here (cool that a bar here is showing it, but TOMORROW NIGHT???) I asked him why he didn't watch on the computer. He said he wants to watch with friends. I told him to get some electronic friends, and watch the stream...I don't have to buy a round for you guys. Its a brilliant thing.

don't exaggerate. Some of the cobbles in P-R aren't that difficult. OK, I'm talking about only 3 or 4 of all sectors, but still...

pffft!! It was no exaggeration - only section 1 can compare to RvV. P-R's cobbles are simply brutal by comparrison.

I think he has a chance at the world championship with a favourable course but I don't see him as a contendor for the classics he isn't so young anymore, I know he isn't old but I wouldn't class him as a youngster anymore and at this age boonen did the flanders roubaix double and went on to win the world championship.....

In my opinion cavendish is a sprinter, a very good sprinter but only a sprinter...

Except Kelly was 27 when he won his first classic, and almost 28 when he won PR for the first time, okay so that was back in the 1980s, but there's still time for Cavendish to reinvent himself.

there's time, but time isn't enough. you can't just decide to "reinvent" yourself and then win paris-roubaix. cavendish just isn't built for it.

The only time he has taken a pull is when he was forced to because everyone around him except Boonen crashed on the Carrefour d'labre (2009).

I get so sad when I tell people it's a big day on Sunday and they say: "why?"

did i say i want to see him "suck wheels the whole way through"? I like pozzato. It's true, he has on occasion sucked wheel. other times, he has chosen other tactics. all this exaggerated pippo-bashing lately is part of the reason I cheer for him, i'll admit.

I love it so much, I will have 3 computers going (though one will be dedicated to writing a paper on 18 U.S.C. 201(c)(1)(B)). One on the race, the other on the race thread. Great group of people who post here on race days. Even the people I despise otherwise become interesting on race threads. (Cobblestoned, you might pi$$ me off otherwise, but your insight on races is generally excellent.) Cant wait!
