He is quite an odd-looking man

A dead ringer for the next Dr. Who.

Once again proof, you can be odd looking as hell, but if you are a rock-star or world class athlete, rich, or famous, the sky is the limit as far as the caliber of chicks you get to bang.

I'd be delighted to look like him, if I'd just won PR and her on my arm.
:p

Fantastic race :) rider of the day was imo Lars Bak. What a race by him  also Tjallingii

Also cool that Bjarne Riis/Saxo Bank comes out of the cobble-races with 2 wins, Leopard with one.. Where are all those "Saxo Bank sucks" people now? :p

Seriously, that's now I feel every year. Two things I hate to see over for the season:

Ski season
Cobbled Classics

After LBL, I go into a fetal position for a couple of weeks, until all of a sudden it dawns on me the Giro is about to start!! And then it's all better. :p

Indeed thats not good. I might hibernate.

****ing good race though, shame about Thomas, Boonen and Chavanell crashing out but these things happen.

Plenty of womens tennis to watch maybe to pass the time.

Hands up who thought Mirko Selvaggi, Damien Gaudin, Tomas Vaitkus, John Degenkolb, Andre Greipel, David Veilleux, Tom Veelers, Kristof Goddaert, Ian Stannard and Michael Schär would ALL finish before a single Quick Step rider?

that's a mistake on letour.fr, Leukemans was 13th, not Selvaggi. Selvaggi did not finish the race. Must have had something to do with swapping bikes or something like that.

man this P-R was very weird

boonen and chav were unlucky, the race would have been completely different with them. garmin rode a good race and thor did the right thing(amzing how some people think he didn't).

tbh the way boonen was chasing he looked very strong today, and so did chav, a real shame them and canc would render all of garmin's "tactics" completely pointless.

i am not canc biggest fan but he is an amazing rider no doubt about that and i wouldn't be bothered if he had won.

JVS did an amazing ride, back in 2009 he got 5th even tho he stop'd to help hoste when he fell with flecha. he could have gotten a podium that year so really weird how most of us (myself included) didn't really rate him tilll today.

If it was him who finished 13th, after three falls (I believe), then Leukemans is a nominee for rider of the day: must have spent considerably more than 47 seconds on the ground or trying to regain speed.

from vacansoleil.com:

"In the Tour of Flanders had been in deep Björn Leukemans final look in good shape. At Paris-Roubaix, he had needed to form mainly from bad luck to come back. The rider from Bevel today did everything in threes: three times he fell, drove three times leak and was three times in a crash after which the group in two and broke.

[...]

Concludes at the velodrome in Roubaix, Bjorn Leukemans was thirteen and could be super form can not be displayed "I could end any time return, but the vessel was after so much bad luck anyway far away. What I am today is of course part of Paris-Roubaix but Now a bit frustrating."

I lost a lot of respect for Canc in Flanders and PR. Today complaining and having a go at the Garmin car was lucency. What does he expect? Guys from other teams to ride for him to win? He doesn't have a team. He's paying the price for that. He can't expect everyone to work with him. Fabian is becoming a one horse trick. He has one type of attack and thats it. Everyone knows what he's going to do. He needs a new game. At least with Riis he had some brains but today was just stupidity.

Bruyneel or Riis would never let one of their riders ride like Canc did today. No repect for the race or his fellow riders.

Dutch bias: Man of the day for me is Tjallingi. In the attack for over 150km and finishing 3rd... The guy was so incredibly happy with his 3rd placing.

Always working his *** off for others and now he gets the praise for once. I hope he gets more chances for himself from now on. He deserves it. It looks like he's the new Moerenhout since he's getting better and better the older he gets.

Also seeing Boom finishing in the group of the big favourites makes me very happy. Proof he starts to gets used to the 200+km races.

Dutch bias off: Another fantastic race! Keep it coming like this.

I can excuse his lunacy as a product of the situation. Although the billing of Canc vs. the World may have been his own doing, there must be a lot of frustration when it plays out in reality; tensions are high mid race, and the events did conspire against him. Loosing to another "newcomer" certainly won't help Canellara's brain.

+1, if "Spartacus" continues his idiotic narcissistic behaviour towards his fellow riders, the peloton is going to continue punishing him. Keep making enemies, peloton can't make you win races, but sure as hell can make you lose them.

Great race by Van Someren, it is always great to see domestique riders getting wins like this one.

Overall, an amazing race!! :p

I guess this is what happens when you have a big, big favourite who doesn't have a proper team. Complete and utter chaos.
