How the hell is Naesen still there?! Interesting to contrast his and GVA's endurance with that of Sagan. All had serious problems in this race, but those two just have the better engines.
Do you ever get tired of this stuff?
Just felt like highlighting how well those two have done. I'm sure there will be a lot of wailing about how bad luck cost Sagan the win. But those two had as bad luck (worse for Naesen) and are still in contention - having been taken out by Sagan in a good position also last week. So I think they deserve the headlines here really - incredible endurance effort from both of them.

I don't know about Naesen because he appeared out of nowwhere, but GVA got a nice tow/slipstream from his team car and that definitely helped. Sagan is just unlucky most of the times, it's not fair to try and victim-blame him by comparing him to others. Things played out differently for all and Sagan visibly spent more energy and also had more setbacks.

That's what I think and saw at least.

Stybar wheelsucking his way to the win?
It's his only chance. Same with Langeveld, but for unexplainable reasons he is helping GVA win this race.
Stybar is pretty fast. He should at least work a bit so the other riders aren't coming back.

Why should Stybar work? He has the biggest pre race favorite in the group behind and the probably 2nd favorite in his own group. Why should he work? He is in the perfect position right now!
Nonsense. Boonen isn't coming back (it's 47") and if he does, he's towing Deg anyway.

Of course stybar wont work he has Boonen behind.
The best chance for a QuickStep win is if the second group doesn't catch GVA/Stybar though. That said, no reason for Stybar to take any turns as Van Avermaet and Langeveld obviously will ride to the line.

Stybar is going to win this. GVA is working too much I think.
Agree, Stybar looks very well placed here. Although GVA is a rider who seems to be able to work really, really hard for absolutely ages and still sprint strongly, so you never know.

Agreed, would prefer Langeveld though.
