The final Mountain stage should suit TJVG more than the MTF, he's good on moderate gradients at altitude.

The talk of Egan being some second coming of Leipheimer in the TT can quiet down for a while too.
It's still a good TT of him relative to Majka and Yates
It is, it really is. Only his second time making use of his new position, materials, etc in competition as well.

Tao was riding really hard early on, that's why there weren't any attacks. Bernal was 40s faster than Alaphilippe in 2016.
Riding tempo until 2km to go doesn't create the big gaps typically. Riding way too hard and have everyone explode early one does.

That's why some uniclimb stages that have insane pace in the first few climbs lead to insane time differences.
