For Davis to win, I think it needs to be quite a select group, without the top springters, but again with a late breakaway a la cancellara or gilbert, as i dont think he has the ability to outsprint the best. but, with booned could also be good to get him in a strong breakaway group, prob the best bet
I am a big fan of Alby, but...
A sprinters group will always see him supporting Boonan
Hausler, is in top form, but again in a sprinters group he will support Thor, 'tis the way of the world

Those are the two teams for me though, CTT and QS have started stongly and both have depth.
Katusha and Liquigas, just don't have the depth of form or options
Hammond has been going well, if a small group is away, Cavendish, couple of years away, but he should win one day

(Edit: BTW I voted Boonan)

I put my money on Haussler, if he can retain the same form from the past weeks.
Cavendish is the fastest, but I think he will not survive the hills. And well Haussler has been great lately.
The safe bets however are Boonen, Bennati and Petacchi. But I'm a risk taker ;)

Petacchi is going to win Milan-San Remo again. The Italian was very strong in Tirreno-Adriatico. Yesterday he rode a long time at the front of the peleton for his teammate Di Luca. It's striking to see that he properly handles the slopes. Petacchi was never so good on the hills.

And he has one of the best teams for this kind of races. Bernucci, Di Luca, Bosisio, Pietropolli, etc. are riders who survive difficult climbs and they are very fast at the line.

I think we will see see one out of two poosible ways:

1.) One or two "semi-fast" guys will attack on the poggio and will manage to stay away util the line.
We will see them risk everything on the descent, fight again the bunch on the flat and battle it out one on one to the line.

2.) Another Fast-Guy-Clash on the finishing straight!
Also cool.

I don´t know what i will prefer. Anyway: exited about this classic.
