Evens is out? Doesn't sound good for Saturday.

@cadelofficial

Nice weather for a nice 'GranPiemonte'. One day I'll get to this part of the season not exhausted enough to finish this one...

Either he is sandbagging, or any hope of lombardia is out.

I'd say he's got a case of CBF.

It must be semi-serious though as it's the first time I can remember him DNFing in years.

I wonder of Hushovd has a shot at this. It might be too hard though and I'm guessing he might be a little exhausted from all the attention since Worlds.

The final hill comes a bit close to the end imo. I think it's Gilbert's race to lose considering he can drop anyone in a hill like that.

Ahahahaha the break just got caught and passed because they took the wrong exit at a roundabout. Great job, race organisers.

Farcical situation. The lead group had over 5 minutes, took a wrong turn and are now behind the peloton :eek:

Was the breakaway likely to succeed?
Oh wait, no one's watching this and you're all going by the ticker, I assume, so your guess is as good as mine.

Gilbert wins again, Bertagnolli second, Breschel third.. Race will be remembered for the farcical case of the breakaway getting lost though

Well that just confirms that they are going to have to drop him before San Fermo if they want a chance of beating him.
