Cuddles = Evans ????

Obviously I'm not up to date on nick names. thought they called him Grumpy.
What do i know.....

I think that Friebe in Procycling dubbed him that about a year or so ago, around the time of "Dog-head-gate". It really fits him though.

As regards what you know, I'd say you are a man of rare insight if you too have thought to tip the huggable antipodean for the Giro too;)

Damn it. Going through page one on this thread before I posted my own predictions, I thought this would be my trump :D

Ha! I thought I'd picked Cuddles in post #3 but looking back, I realised I picked Jennifer Grey. Must have been the Kronplatz ITT that tipped it.

Yes Pellizotti is clearly strong enough to win the giro, but sometimes i question whether he has the mental focus, to be with the best everyday through 3 weeks of racing

Hmm...

I think maybe some revisions are in order! I underestimated the form EBH would be carrying into spring. I think dude's going to win either:

MSR (a la Pippo or Cancellara),
De Ronde (a la Devolder, or maybe like Ballan if he comes to the finish with another guy who isn't Boonen),
or Roubaix (On a 20km solo move).

The most exciting for me would be San Remo, b/c it's always fun when the sprinters' teams get up-staged by a lone crankman, but a long solo pull into Roubaix is also always an amazing nail-biter. A Flanders win would be a spectacle, too--I can easily see Boonen, Pippo, and Cancellara sitting on each other while a couple of guys like Devolder and EBH slip up the road to duke it out in the finale.

Oh hooray spring!

Oh man - I am praying for that to happen!

Kirchen seems to be on a lot of people's list for the classics though, which I agree with - Katusha should have one of the strongest teams with Kirchen, Rodriguez and Ivanov!
I'm excited to see how Kirchen will do in Tour of Flanders, Brussels-Kuurne and Gent-Wevelgem for example, it's exactly his kind of weather usually and he always said he'd love to win Flanders one day.

And Pozzato, and Kolobnev.

My God these are some good predictions. Starts of slow with the likely Contador victory a few wrong before the surprising Vinokourov LBL

Then bang on, totaly bang on with the Tour prediction (even if COnti doesnt get banned ill still say thats a top prediction) and Hushovd for the worlds to top it all off.
