2010 Settimana Internazionale Coppi e Bartali

23rd-27th March.
A personal favourite of mine. Always produces the goods. Highlights should be available, around 17-30 each day, from Rai Sports.

Stage 1 (a) Riccione - Riccione 81km

Stage 1(b) Team Time Trial Riccione - Misano Adriatico 14.3km

Stage 2 San Lazzaro - Faenza 182km

Stage 3 Borgo San Lorezno - Serramazonni 163km

Part 1....

I hope there is some TV coverage of the first stage, I was in Riccione this time last year for the Gran Fondo Nove Colli and it looks like the route of stage 1 goes right past the hotel I stayed in.

Ricco look slim and in good shape, lets see how he perform ;)

The sprint was hard fought, the TTT less so.
A distinct lack of foreign teams on show. I spotted Cervelo, but that was it.
Not surprising when the UCI schedule 3 stage races and 3 major 1 day races, in the same week.
Incredible incompetence.

This race offers a great balance. Some testing climbing, without getting too heavy.

That penultimate climb looks 6.5km @ 6%.

Enough for The Cobra? :(

This finish produced one of the great Giro stages in 2003, when Gibo set up a beautiful attack and snatched pink from Garzelli.

Thanks for that. I shall be watching.....
Am I right in saying they (Rai Sport) are showing Ghent Wevelgem?
Also Crit Int.
I not much better informed than you - I can see RaiSport+ on the
digital terrestrial here at home - so it's easy for me to read the rolling
news style info about schedule changes.
Today (Wednesday) they are still announcing that 17:45 CET will be cycling.
Last announcement was made at 12:50 so it's probably true.

There was an unscheduled repeat of Tuesday's highlights at 12:30 CET today
- go figure! (skate?)

Yet it was scheduled here, all along:

Wouldn't the "Northern Classic" be GW?

What are the chances for Serpa in the Giro?

He was 13th last year.
