And what could've Contador done if he had a real team around him - or even one guy good in the mountains...

Another good question which likely requires a separate discussion altogether.

Umm Samu attacked for polka dots. If he had stayed with Evans he wouldnt have won the polka dot.

Why do you Cadel fanboys try so hard to make us hate him. I want to like him for tomorow but with stupid comments like this it becomes difficult.

Just one bad stage cost Sanchez plus the fall. He rode well. How many times do you seem him dropped at the bottom of a climb only to come back later. He certainly made Evans work hard to catch the Contador group.

i fully expected cadel to explode this last week, and instead he has ridden magnificently so hats off to him.

i hope andy wins, but part of me will now feel a little bad for cadel if that happens.

Doesn't chance anything. He just wasn't good enough.

Someone on Eurosport suggested the reason Voeckler was ****ed off on Dutch corner was some of the fans heckling him for the Hoogerland incident. That's pretty low of 'em.

Contrary to lies posted earlier, Samu has won the polka dot as per the official site.

speaking of lies posted earlier, who was the ******bag that posted Evans had blown up and was blaming his bike?

With a bit cooler head Voeckler would be contending for yellow tomorrow. What an epic mistake to try catching Conta & Andy in Telegraphe/early Galibier.

But he wouldn't be the rider he is if he was a calculating one.... :(

I agree with Hitch - I want Cuddles to win this but the whining and everyone is against us Ozzie BS means I will take less pleasure from it, should he do it. Sometimes peeps should just STFU.

Rolland will never have to buy a beer again after this Tour, wheelsuck - pah! I fart in your general direction. He dropped Contador on the Tours iconic climb FFS

Chapeau Tommy V - amazed when he got back on on the descent.

Speeds are slower, everyone looks human, the French are back - and it is much more exciting and finely balanced. Things are good.

Haha, there were loads of people saying that. Funny, they've gone quiet now!

For the first time I dont care who wins. Andy for his amazing ride yesterday and Evans for his pulling for the last 2 days. Whichever wins they will have deserved it

Voeckler was speaking in French on the mountain and said something about Contador. He seemed very angry. Anyone know what he was saying?

Fatigue : but it was weird to that none of his teammates waited for him whenever he was in trouble with a bike change or puncture etc......could not understand it.

Points only for top 6. And only 8 for 5th, 4 for 6th so Andy needed to win his group to take polka dot.

In mountain-top finishes the points are doubled, but they are not credited to any more riders than during the stage.

I don't think Andy cares about the Polka Dots, frankly.

I'll be honest grand tours ending and the winner being declared ruins it for me. I much prefer the battle to the ending.

Everyone points out that Contador only took 30 seconds off Schleck in the final TT last year. What they don't mention is Menchov took 2'30" off Schleck.

It's going to come down to the day. Evans will take somewhere between 30 seconds and 3 minutes off Schleck.
