Just one bad stage cost Sanchez plus the fall. He rode well. How many times do you seem him dropped at the bottom of a climb only to come back later. He certainly made Evans work hard to catch the Contador group.

Points only for top 6. And only 8 for 5th, 4 for 6th so Andy needed to win his group to take polka dot.

In mountain-top finishes the points are doubled, but they are not credited to any more riders than during the stage.

I don't think Andy cares about the Polka Dots, frankly.

I'll be honest grand tours ending and the winner being declared ruins it for me. I much prefer the battle to the ending.

Everyone points out that Contador only took 30 seconds off Schleck in the final TT last year. What they don't mention is Menchov took 2'30" off Schleck.

It's going to come down to the day. Evans will take somewhere between 30 seconds and 3 minutes off Schleck.
