he wanted to bridge across hushiovd becaus ehe couldn't care less about van summeren as is made clear now by him wanting to leave garmin as soon as possible. I never forget the panick in hushovds eyes when cancellara sat up and stopped chasing
 
That was a spectacular race, incredible scenery and exciting racing up and down that narrow twisting road. It was great seeing the riders spread out all over the mountain going up the final climb, made for some unpredictable and exciting racing. That descent was hair raising, made my stomach squirm just watching it, can't imagine riding down it at that speed.

On the subject of downhill finishes, I think they can be very exciting when it is a race like this one where there is a difficult technical descent where the race ends immediately at the bottom of the climb. What I don't like is downhill finishes where there is a flat stretch between the bottom and the descent (even if it is as short as a few kilometers), this inevitably results in a major regrouping and often a boring sprint finish.
